I wasn't hoping for much as it seems that a number of "earth friendly" products aren't that great. Always still hopeful though, I gave this a try and was very pleased.

All my clothes came out clean and without any detergent clumps or streaks to be seen on my clothes.

I've washed clothes in all temps and this detergent truly does a good job. I have absolutely no reserve in recommending this product to others.

A big thank-you to Amazon too...I hadn't realized, until today, that Amazon sold my favorite cleaning products on top of all the wares I purchase from them.

Try this, you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love this detergent. It smells wonderful, but it's a natural scent, so it doesn't have additives that harm cloth diapers or irritate your skin. I would highly recommend it for all laundry, but especially cloth diapers.

Okay I technically stole it from my dad because I ran out of 7th gen. but I will NEVER go back. I love this stuff! It smells so good and cleans soo soo well. I have very bad allergies to extensive scents and get really itchy but this does none of that! It smells wonderful did I say that? Highly recomended!

I really, really wanted to like this detergent. I know Bi-O-Kleen is a hit with cloth diaper users, I figure if it's good enough to clean poop for goodness sake, it can do a good job on my family's dirty clothes. I am also totally sold on their Biokleen Citrus Automatic Dish Powder, 2-Lb. Tubs (Case of 12), it is the best dish powder, conventional or natural. I assumed that same quality would carry over to their other products.

Here's the problems I found with this stuff. The fragrance is soooo subtle, it does not at all carry onto the clothes. I found in fact our clothes came out smelling mustier than when they went in. Even on my kid's clothes which aren't too filthy to begin with, they came out slimy and dingy smelling. The detergent performed worse on my husband's grease laden mechanic's clothes. Stain removal was absent at best. We wash in cold water, supplied by our municipal water supply if that helps.

And here I am stuck with a case of this stuff. I have tried every brand of natural detergent on the market, none of them are up to standards. I'm willing to make some performance exceptions for certain natural products, but wearing stinky clothes is not an option.

I can't think of one reason why to recommend this to anyone. If you want to try it just buy one box at your local natural grocer, before you order the case.

First, my criteria for laundry powder: I am looking for laundry powder that is economical, does the job, and easy on my house's ancient plumbing (nothing gunky). I don't get rashes from regular detergents but their scents usually bother my sinuses when they're dry, especially in the winter. My washer is a traditional top-loader rather than a high-efficiency model but I prefer concentrated laundry powder/detergent because I don't have to lug a heavy container down the basement steps. Lastly, my water isn't extra-hard but it does come from the river and often smells like it.

This powder has a faint scent out of the box and leaves clothes with a vaguely "fresh" scent rather than smelling like someone used a spray-on air freshener on them. I can't honestly give it 5 stars because I haven't tried it on anything especially soiled but regular clothes come out clean and fresh-smelling. If I use it on cotton underwear and air-dry it on a rack afterwards (no fabric softeners involved) it is still pleasantly soft afterwards. I haven't noticed any problems with fading or residue. Overall, I'm pleased and would buy it again but I might try out their premium laundry powder just for curiosity's sake.

I have been using this product for over two years now and I would definitely not go back to the chemical ridden Surf, Tide and other mainstream detergents. First off it does not have the strong artificial smell of chemicals etc. The laundry comes out light and clean. I personally wish it had some fragrance (I know many here would not like it!) but I mean some light, natural fragrance like lavender. But I would use this product any day in place of the mainstream products that have those fake fragrances. Besides, like someone suggested, I can throw in a sachet of lavender flower/buds etc into the dryer to add some natural scent. Oh, by the way I noticed that I no longer need anti-static sheets in the dryer (in most cases - esp. for cotton / cotton blends) and in most weather conditions. So that's a big plus and a benefit! I never liked those sheets anyway. Good riddance!

All in all, a great product! Highly recommended.

This laundry detergent is all natural and contains no toxic chemicals. Also, it cleans so well in any temperature that it is amazing! I love this detergent and find that my clothes are cleaner and I have 4 kids, so that is really important. Overall, I would never buy anything else.

So I bought this product on Amazon after I had used the product many times. It is 1/2 the size of my other boxes, just so you know. But, it still cleans incredibly well. It should too-for the price of the weeny box. 5 stars for quality of soap, but final rating is 4 because of the size.
