4.0 out of 5 stars Great Follow-up to Hard to Swallow, October 26, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Bi-Polar (Audio CD)
Vanilla Ice has come a long way since Ice Ice Baby and his subsequent fall from grace.

Hard to Swallow was quite possibly the best melding of Rap and Rock to date, and Bi-Polar expands on his talents by claiming to be two CD's in one (One Rap, and One Rap-Rock).

Many people won't even by this album because it IS Vanilla Ice, but those that don't will miss out on a great album and nice musical style.

Songs like Mudd Munster, Nothing is Real, and Insane Killas show how much talent this often called "no-talent" rapper actually has. You'll be suprised.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bipolar is worth checking out., October 30, 2001

Bipolar is a pretty damn good offering from V-Ice, especially from the hardcore / heavy metal point of view. The first 8 songs on this album totally rock. If you didn't know beforehand, you would probably think you are listening to Pantera. V-Ice really gets down on these first 8 tracks with some surprising new vocal talents never heard before on his albums. It is definatly worth checking out and probably won't dissappoint. It definatly didn't dissappoint me.

4.0 out of 5 stars He's baaaaaaack....again, October 26, 2001

The new Vanilla Ice cd shows both sides of the Iceman. He's a little bit hip-hop a little bit rap and roll. Some people will dismiss this as another attempt for Ice to make a comeback but before you judge it...listen. It's a very competent album in both the heavy and hip hop sides. Ice even tests his ability in the singing department adding some crooning in the choruses early on. All in all it's a really well put together album and has a ton of special guests like ICP and former Slipknot member Josh Brainard. Take Ice for what he is now, not what he was then.
