I am going back today to get a Calphalon nonstick like I used to have, and I will never again buy a ceramic pan. uck.

No matter how gentle you are with them, the ceramic coating starts to chip and crack within a few uses.

I'm italian living in the USA and I bought the Bialetti Brand because is very well knowed in Italy as a good brand. But these items started to chip out pieces and being scretced since the first 2 days. All of them, evne if some of the pans I probably used only 2 or 3 times they alraedy look old and you can see the metal. Unfortunately when I received them I threw away ALL my old pans and now I'm stuck with this horrible chipped ones that I just bought 4 months ago!!! i oly used soft sponges and organic mineral based soaps. They are also starting to get "brownish"in the middle hwere the heat is stronger. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! Just don't buy it.

I bought this set as a result of receiving a larger pan with a cover for my birthday. i loved cooking in this non-stick pan so much that I researched getting a whole set to replace my mis-matched pots and pans. I am so pleased with these pots and pans. I cook every night and have loved these pans from the moment i started using them. Yes the ceraminc coating chips a little where they touch each other when you stack them in the cabinet but it doesn't effect how they cook food. They clean up very easily- so easy it seems too good to be true- and cook food evenly and perfectly. I absolutely recommend getting these pans! well worth the money we spent on them!!!!
I also recommend the all-in-one 7 use tool that comes up with these as a separate item to order, it's been a perfect
match for cooking with these pots and pans so as to not harm their finish.

I bought the 3 skillets from BB&B. Not Cheap. The inside of the skillets is starting to turn black where it is like there were scratches. I never use anything but plastic or wood when I am cooking with these skillets. The red exterior is pealing on the bottom. I now wish I never bought them. They do not wash up easy anymore and I only had them for a little over a month.

I bought this set because it says it is "ceramic". After just one use, one of the pots started "peeling" along the rims. This must be enamel, not ceramic. I have never heard of ceramic that peels! What a mess, having to repack it! I like buying items from amazon because of the ease of returns, but this one was not easy. Stay away from this "ceramic" cookware!!!

Acquired the 10" and 12" skillets about a year ago and made a mistake of storing a glass lid upside down in the 10", leading to a wear spot directly in the center of the skillet. The pan still preformed very well and used it extensively Food cooked in the pan caramelized well and had no issues with clean up, however I began to use the scour side of the sponge and from there, the surface degraded. It still performed well when I used oil or butter and no issue at all in clean-up, albeit the finish became more matte. I also found out (without reading) that they cannot be used in the oven, but they did say so in the instructions - turns out the insert around the hanging hole in the handle is made of plastic. If it were metal, I'm pretty sure the entire skillet would do well.

Fast forward to today. Just acquired the 8 piece and looking forward to using it regularly (bit of a foodie) - I also see that my clean up needs to be 'sponge-only', so off to get a regular sponge.

My comment to others experiencing issues with the pan is that expectations might be improperly set. We're talking household cookware here - I have uncoated pans in my kitchen and lots of cast-iron. Use the right pan and you'll get the result your needing. If you cannot get the right pan and this is your only one, treat it with care and you should get years of stick-free cooking out of it.

I'll come back in a couple of months and update on where the use is showing most in the entire set.

After I bought the skillets, I considered buying this set. I was so pleased with the skillets. Easy clean up and good non-stick qualities. All that lasted about a month. Being very careful and following cleaning and usage instructions closely, both the inside ceramic and the outside coating began to discolor and peel, and they became impossible to clean. EVERYTHING stuck - inside and out. In order to get them clean at all you have to scrub, and of course, that is not recommended. Eventually even scrubbing doesn't work. The inside is now mostly an ugly gray. Total fail on these pans. In the trash.

I'm a good cook. Over twenty years.

I have had this set for 8 months. Everything sticks. The red paint is peeling from the outside, and the interior bottoms stain after every use and need to be soaked in bleach.

The lids allow condensation to leak on the exterior of the pan and down onto the burners of my glass-top stove.

I use the stock pot for cooking noodles or beans only, and the non-stick surface is now pockmarked.

Never used metal utensils, never put them in the dishwasher, never burned anything in them. I take good care of my things.

I would not recommend this product or buy it again.

Have not yet contacted Bialetti to warranty out the product, but the 5-year warranty says, "repair or replace," and I'm certainly not interested in a new set.

Additional note I forgot to mention...

The pans don't heat evenly. I've got french toast cooking right now, and I have to spin the bread so that the outside edges will cook.

Today's date is 1.20.2013

These pans were purchased May 2012.
