I'm writing this review a month and a half into using these pans.
-Heat evenly and fast!
The nano-ceramic coating on the Aluminum is really "nano". it is so thin that i don't think I'm familiar with a measurement unit to describe it. It is thinner than a paper. it is thinner than a hair. it is as thick as...I really can't find any familiar object that is this thin. If something will come to mind, I will add it later in the review.
Now, you probably ask yourself, how do I know that?
Because after two weeks or so, i started to notice small gray dots on the rims of one of my pans. at first I thought that this is a small grain of something. When I took a closer look, I realized that it is a small hole in the nanoceramic coating that covers --->> Aluminum.
Since it was on the rims of my pan I used the pan more until today, when I found a small hole in the coating in the middle of my pan.Read more ›
This Bialetti pan addresses all those problems. It is very lightweight, with a nice handle that makes it easy to grip and control. The non-stick interior is excellent - scrambled eggs leave pretty much no trace other than a tiny spot of butter here or there, which washes right off. The heating and cooking is even and predictable. Finally, the pan's red bottom and handle is attractive enough that my wife and I agreed to hang it on the wall. The only potential drawback I can think of is that I worry that the ceramic interior may chip if abused, which contributed to our decision to hang it on the wall rather than put it in the cabinet with all the other pans.
Overall a great pan - I plan on buying a couple more in other sizes. While some foods will continue to be used with the cast iron and steel pans, these Bialetti pans have definitely earned a place in the kitchen for sticky/tough to clean foods!
[11 months later: The pan has started to become less non-stick. Scrambled eggs now stick to it, although they come off with reasonable dish brush pressure. Other foods leave a residue as well that requires some pressure to clean. So this is now no longer truly a non-stick pan, which is disappointing. We never abused the pan (i.e. left heated without contents, scrubbed with abrasive cleaners, etc.). As a result, I've reduced my review to 3 stars.]
I did receive my one-time-only replacement pan, and it is not the same color (I really liked my black pan) AND it also has a chip, right in the middle of the pan. The poor customer service and the horrible longevity of the pan make this a no-buy.

You gotta try this. Way better non-stick than teflon. I mean WAY BETTER than even high end teflon - like Calphalon, Cuisinart, and Circulon.Published 20 days ago by Harry S.
We purchased this pan May 2015 for Mother's Day. I had an Aeternum skillet for over 10 years and never once did the handle become loose. I loved it. Read morePublished 21 days ago by Scot Ferre
as others mentioned - the non-adhesive plating wears out after about half a year. would not recommend, unless you want to buy a frying pan every few monthsPublished 22 days ago by Slava B
