Add my voice to the chorus of raves,

I agree with the reviewers above. The only thing I would add is that the quality of the recording is superb. Living overseas without access to hands-on music stores, I've unwittingly bought some really cheesy stuff through the mail...And as the grandma writes, if you think that this recording is only for children, you're in for a great surprise. I prefer this newer recording to Heigh Ho! Mozart! only because we listened to Mozart! every night at dinner for almost a year, and my rock'n' roll husband liked it almost as much as my 7-year-old...Hearing the music we grew up with rendered so refreshingly and well proves that when you go home again, sometimes it's even better than you remember.

I owned Heigh-Ho Mozart first, but the two are equally as wonderful. Everyone has their own favorites of the originals, but I find that these are beautiful in their own way. "Circle of Life" sounds so religious and spiritual, as it should. "Kiss the Girl" is even more alive than the original! "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" is gorgeous and moving. "Some Day My Prince Will Come" is delightful. I find nothing to criticize about this CD of true art!

A must have for Disney and classical music fans,

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Bach is an outstanding collection of Disney film music done in the style of classical composers. Imagine finding Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo in the Brandenburg concerto or The Circle of Life as Gregorian Chant. The integrity of the original intent of composition remains intact while giving us the feelings invoked by the arranger. The jacket gives notes about the selection of style and how the music was originally used in the movie. This CD is also an excellent introduction of classical music to children. They already know the tunes, now they can gain an appreciation of the classics underlying them.

Okay, okay, I know it sounds silly...but this is really good music! Walt Disney songs rearranged in the styles of composers from Bach to Bernstein. It's a lot of fun and has to be at least a little educational. For children, but this grandma loved it.

This is a wonderful CD! The music was beautifully written and preformed in a wide variety of classical music styles. Very relaxing to listen to - would be great to play for a young baby. I'm going to buy the Heigh-Ho Mozart soon, because I love this CD so much.

I have the first CD in this series, Heigh Ho Mozart, which I think is the better of the two. While listening to this CD, had I not known the songs were supposed to be Disney tunes, I believe I would think I was just listening to another classical music CD.
Some of the songs are a bit recognizeable if you listen very, very carefully. Others almost completely obliterate the Disney part of the song save for a note or two. For example, the Ballad of Davy Crockett sounds nothing like the original song. The Siamese Cat song from Lady and the Tramp is even worse. I had to look at the liner notes to figure out what song I was listening to and even after identifying it, I had difficulty picking out the Disney notes. Overall, I would recommend Disney fans skip this unless you are die hard, but Heigh Ho Mozart is a better investment if you actually want to hear the Disney songs.
