Works fast and well,
By
This review is from: Bibble Pro 4.9 (Win/Mac/Linux) (CD-ROM)
I just came back from a trip to Africa with 1300 RAW images taken with my Nikon D50 and D200 cameras. After doing a preliminary sort, I was able to clean up and crop 450 in a couple of evenings. Several great things about Bibble Pro:
1. It's easy to work with a folder full of images 2. It's easy to apply the same settings to multiple images 3. You can output many images in a given format (TIFF, JPEG) in a single background batch task 4. The "Perfectly Clear" optimizer does a good job for probably 75% of images - the others need more careful tweaking The 4.8.1 release seems reasonably stable - it did crash once, but I didn't lose any data. The bottom line for me is that I get much better results from Bibble Pro than I do from Adobe Camera Raw, and in much less time. For most images, I can do all required editing in Bibble Pro at 16 bit depth - this is a major contributor to my overall productivity.

A great RAW format photo processing software package,
By Sir Force (Maryland USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bibble Pro 4.9 (Win/Mac/Linux) (CD-ROM)
I just started shooting indoor sports and switch to use RAW mode in order to give me more control over poor lighting conditions during post processing photo's from my Nikon D80 camera using a F2.8 70-200 VR Nikon Lense.
My first impression is WOW! What a timesaver. The program does not modify the original RAW output but creates a second file with a new extension with the changes to apply. Adjusting using Perfectly Clear and Noise Ninja right out of the box work extremely well for 75% of the photos with some additional exposure/color tweaking that is simple to do for the rest. It is them simple to archive the photo's along with the bibble files to DVD for backup purposes and not lose any of the RAW data or changes made for future use. After cropping and/or tweaking the photos, exporting to various formats such as a contact sheet, save for web or full size jpeg or tiff output can be accomplished using backgroud batch mode. Working with folders of images and tagging them with ratings or categories is very intuitive. Applying settings to one or more files is a quick process. Like the other user stated I did have a couple of program crashes as well but never lost any data. I am using the latest v4.9 at the present time. Being new to using RAW files and having also attempted to use Adobe Camera RAW as well as Nikon Capture NX, Bibble Pro seems to be the best of all three software packages i've tried hands down. I would definately purchase this software again.

Biible Labs Pro : An Awesome tool for cross platform Digital Image Workflow!,
By
This review is from: Bibble Pro 4.9 (Win/Mac/Linux) (CD-ROM)
Been using Bibble Lab Pro for about a year and a half now and being able to run it in Windows, Mac, and Linux environments is a great boon, since I often have to swap system OS(s). Not having to relearn another interface is awesome and a great time saver.
The Bibble Labs interface caches and generates previews, so your browsing of images to cull/edit is greatly sped up, resulting in less time in front of the computer and more time selling and/or shooting. I use this on a Linux and Mac system and find it to be very flexible. The best part? The bibble configuration files are cross-platform, so I can just copy folders between systems and work from where I left off with the previous system. Great software at a great price! [....]

To speed through your RAW conversions Bibble is the tool!,

Bibble Pro 4.9 (Win/Mac/Linux)
I shoot only Raw format as a matter of choice. I prefer the flexibility that raw gives me. When I cover the types of events I like to photograph I will end up with 300 to 400 images. So I need several things from my conversion software: ease of use, speed, dependability and flexibility. Bibble provides me with all of these things. I have used Bibble Lite for a number of years and recently switched over to the Pro version. I upgraded to Pro for the additional color management and Noise Ninja capabilities. Some will suggest that the interface needs to be updated and most likely will be in the next version. But I have used Bibble for several years so it doesn't bother me. I open my images, make basic changes to one image and once I am satisfied with it I apply those same changes to all the images. I then review every photo to prioritize them and tweak those that need it. I enjoy the flexibility that the plug-ins give me to adjust an image over and above the normal settings. I can do most everything I need to do to an image from with Bibble and that includes opening an image in Photoshop Elements to deal with more serious problems. If I ever figure out a way for Bibble to handle my back up processes I will have a complete workflow.

After several trial software downloads and weeks spent attempting to find ONE program that allows me to work with my RAW images taken with my Sony Alpha100 DSLR. BibblePro works the best, has a user friendly interface, and most importantly when I contacted them their response was timely, friendly and complete. They care about their customers needs and attempt to help. It is very difficult to find one program that will handle all the various issues involving digital imaging. Every camera and lens has a different effect. Each camera manufacturer includes some utility for image transfers and minor processing but few can, or, do a complete job.
This product BibblePro has some Ninja Noise filters included, but for the full benefit, I suggest you do as I did and also purchase the full version Noise Ninja 2. Combined there is not a program that is as easy to make "developing" digital images easier. Now I use Adobe PhotoShop for image enhancing post production work and BibblePro to make sure that the RAW to TIF processing is the finest available. In many cases I do not even need to use my old favorite Adobe PhotoShop for simple web postings and JPG output. Though I do not think I will ever stop using it. The combination of BibblePro4.9.9, NoiseNinja 2 and Adobe PhotoShop is a great work flow for digital imaging. All three cooperate with each other for their special abilities through plug-ins or as stand alone programs. Someday one program might handle the whole "process" of RAW or JPG digital images, but for now this is the best system I could assemble.

Tethering ?,
By
This review is from: Bibble Pro 4.9 (Win/Mac/Linux) (CD-ROM)
I purchased Bibble Pro in hopes it would make taking product shots for our mail order business a little easier. I was mainly interested in the tethering option. I found the provided instruction manual lacks all information on tethering and the tutorials, although helpful did not cover this ether.
With the help of online fourms and a few hours of dabbling I was able to get it to work. It's not hard to do once you get the needed help. It seems to me the manual should have addressed tethering, that would have been helpful. Over all I like the program and would recommend it for easy to use and powerful batch processing. After getting Bibble I started shooting in RAW full time because it's easy to view, correct, and convert to jpg, tiff , ect... After a couple of product shot sessions I'm finding I do save time with Bibble Pro tethered to my Nikon D80, I wouldn't give it up. The basic tools are easy to use and work well.

Great quality but maddeningly awful interface,
By
This review is from: Bibble Pro 4.9 (Win/Mac/Linux) (CD-ROM)
I am a professional retoucher and have used Aperture, Lightroom, Capture One Pro, RAW Developer and Bibble Pro extensively but I can barely stand to use Bibble Pro because the interface is so impossibly broken that it makes it a chore to use. I've used niche 3-D software developed by programmers with a complete disregard for usability and not found it as frustrating to use as this program - which I want to love since it produces very good results, especially when combined with Noise Ninja Registered. If you are wondering what I mean about bad interface design, it all has to do with how the panel stacking tries to be customizable but just ends up in all sorts of weird configurations of doubled panes, wasted space and any time you would save by Bibble Pro's fast processing is instantly gobbled up by the constant fixing of crazy configurations you will inevitably find these in. I anxiously await a new interface design that doesn't feel like it was spat out of the bowels of a sadist. Then, maybe I'll drop some coin on this capable app.

nice program, abominable customer service,
By
This review is from: Bibble Pro 4.9 (Win/Mac/Linux) (CD-ROM)
I love the program. It makes photoshop almost unnecessary for a lot of my photos and it's very fast because you don't have to keep opening and saving. It's easy to copy settings from one photo to another. HOWEVER, I cannot get any minor problems addressed by the company. I waited 10 days for them to respond to an email about an installation issue, and they only responded because I threatened to start writing reviews. I am now waiting 4 days for a followup. I can't get into their forums because they won't recognize me as a customer so I can't get advice that way. I also find the interface confusing but I'm hoping they fix that in version 5. In the meantime, unless you're confident you can figure anything out on your own, BEWARE.

I use Nikon Capture NX to 1.34 AUTOMATICALLY remove chromatic abberation from from the raw Nikon .nef files. They are saved as 16 bit TIF files.
However Bibble Pro 4 cannot read TIF files, but ironically it can save as TIF files. I'm still buying this program shortly as Bibble 5 is expected to be able to read 16 bit TIF files, and will be a free upgrade. Bibble 5 will cost more too. I love its AUTOMATED Perfectly Clear feature and its tight integration to Noise Ninja - all run in batch mode. This work flow produces the best picture quality with the least fuss.

Very good raw editing software. The next version of Bibble will also provide layers and additional photoshop type features over and above its raw editing capability. To achieve this now I purchased this in addition to PS elements (very limited raw editing) and I can do everything and more over photoshop at much less the prices
