As the mother of 5 home-schooled kids I have been saying for years that The Adventures in Odyssey radio theater CDs are among the greatest tools God has graciously given the modern family. Not only do they fuel the imagination (by listening instead of watching the imagination is developed), they impart powerful, biblically informed, God-honoring values in a way that is just amazing. Next to family Bible studies, there is nothing that has impacted my kids more. From 5 to 19 years-of-age, my children devour them. More often than not when one of them is cleaning the kitchen an Odyssey CD will be on and will be listened to even after the chore is done. All of them are well-written, well-acted and produced; first-class all the way. But I was particularly thrilled about this set. Our favorite episodes have always been the ones centered around Biblical stories (reenactments). Until now they have been scattered throughout the many sets in the Odyssey series (I think 50 and counting). But here are 36 of them in one set! If there is one thing you buy for your family this year, in my opinion you can't do any better than this Bible Eyewitness Collector's Set. 5 stars and then some! Ronda Holmberg

Not only were the stories entertaining enough for our whole family, but my 5 year old son is now quoting scripture at the dinner table. These bible stories are brought to life by the voices of the Odyssey crew. I highly recommend these to any parent. Thank you Focus on the Family.

My kids (6yrs and 4yrs) love this audio set and they have learned a lot of Bible stories from it too. They have listened to it twice driving cross country and they STILL want to listen to it almost every day on the way to school or whenever we are in the car :)

Adventures IN Odyssey is absolutely wonderful. It's truly for all ages and is chock full of true biblical values. My family, and myself, are blessed everytime we listen to a story. This is truly a blessing. (And they're fun, too.)

I've been a huge fan of "Adventures in Odyssey" ever since I was 9 years old. I am 26 now. This radio drama enspired me to become a Christian.
The "Bible Eyewitness" collection contains some of the Odyssey team's best work. With professional actors, brilliant sound effects, and witty dialogue, biblical accounts come vibrantly to life. Here are just a few of the gems you'll encounter in this set:

1. "The Imagination Station." This unforgettable episode tells the story of Digger Digwillow, a boy who refuses to read his Bible because he thinks its boring. Mr. Whitaker has invented a new machine, "The Imagination Station," which transports Digger back in time to the events of Jesus' death and resurrection.
2. "Bernard and Esther." This episode is one of my favorites. Bernard Walton, Odyssey's resident window-washer, relates the story of Esther to Robin and Melanie Jacobs in a compelling and exciting manner. Bernard's seemingly brusque manner cannot conceal his loving heart, and he whets the two girls' appetite for more Bible adventures.
3. "The Marriage Feast." This episode is a retelling of the Parable of the Marriage Feast, located in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 24. The story is both humorous and thoughtprovoking.
4. "B-TV Envy." This episode emphasizes the dangers of one of Satan's most distructive tools. By retelling Cain and Abel's story as a talk-show, Naboth's Vineyard as a police procedural, and David and Bathsheba as a cartoon, the Odyssey team grabs the attention of kids and adults alike.

These episodes barely scratch the surface of this exceptional collection. Please give the show a chance because it is an excellent teaching tool to use with kids. God bless.

My girls ages 8 and 10 love to go to sleep listening to these. All of the Odyssey CD's have been good, but the Bible Eyewitness has had an incredible impact on them. My 8 year old has learned so many Bible stories that when we pick up the children's Bible to read, most of the time she interupts at the beginning of the reading and says "I know this story, this is what will happen" and proceeds to tell me the whole story. I have just been amazed. Wonderfully animated voices and easy to follow yet detailed stories keep her begging for one each night. We have had the Odyssey series in general for years now. They still love them and these CD's are part of their bedtime ritual. However, my eight year old just started listening to this particular set of the Bible Eyewitness and already has learned so much. You simply cannot go wrong with this set for ages six and up. A story or two may have something that because it is dramatized so well, can be a bit scary for my younger daughter so I would say ages six and up. This is only so in a couple stories. In summary, all of the Adventures in Odyssey series' are great but the Bible Eyewitness has really proved to be a teaching tool as well. If you want your kids to really know their Bible stories and to be entertained, this is the series for you! I have new ones waiting for their Christmas stockings this year and they will be excited to see them!

My children (currently ages 5 and 2) love Adventures in Odyssey and this is a great set to have. While there may be some little bits in the stories that are not entirely biblical, for the most part these are very informative and fun. The stories have even pointed out things to me - parts of stories that I may have not noticed before. This is such a great deal for a good set containing many hours of stories, all in the fun style of Adventures in Odyssey. Although at 5 and 2 my children don't necessarily grasp everything, they do enjoy the stories and do get some out of it (especially the 5 year old). They like to have the stories going while they play or eat (all day long if I will let them).

These are the best audio cds around for children. I bought these to help continue introducing Bible stories to my children. An AWESOME resource.

Excellent stories! I was afraid they might be a bit boring, but not a bit. Even pre-teen children and adults are riveted. Great value (15 hours) for the money. If you want good, wholesome, valuable stories, buy this set.
