This is a very entertaining book. Its not a religious book, and its not a bible. Its just fun to read. Not only does Mr. Morris highlight the surprising Bible passages you have never heard; he adds hilarious commentary. I find it quite enlightening to read what is actually in the Bible that I have never heard. Also, its an easy read - you really can read one page at a time if you wanted and be very entertained. You should read it.
This book was recommended by a friend, and after enjoying it for several weeks, we are telling other friends about it. It's really the perfect coffee table book: you can pick it up and spend quality time with it, thoroughly enjoying the quotes, the commentary, and the great illustrations, or you can literally pick it up and read one thing in it at random and have a good giggle. I've taken to the latter lately, reading to the family a quote of the day. I still laugh just thinking about some of them... "Foxes will make their holes there, and it will be a meeting-place for ostriches." -- Isaiah 34:13... what? There is so much in this book that it will take a while to make it through, and a lot of it just gets better as you read it again anyway, so I see this being a family favorite for many years to come.

Spoiler alert!!! This book dares to directly quote parts of the Bible that you might find absolutely absurd, offensive, or simply incorrect, so Fundamentalists beware - this book could change the way you look at the Bible. Then, after that, you'll have a load of laughs. Very entertaining book!
