the reader may well recognize the authors as professors at dallas theological seminary; walvoord has written multiple books and is considered one of the foremost dispensationalist theologians today (perhaps carrying the torch of chafer). this is a 2 volums set which covers the entire bible, although not in great detail. it is definitely written from an evangelical point of view - that is, the inspiration and inerrancy of the bible is at the foundation of all interpretation (contrast this with the new jerome commentary which is purely historical-critical). nonetheless, this work is the product of sound scholarship and the work of men with expansive knowledge and insight. this is ideal for sunday school classes and personal study; it might be a little thin for use in theology classes.

This is the best one vol. commentary on the NT that I am aware of. Many are trite, but this one has meat.

This commentary was written by faculty members of the Dallas Theological Seminary. Although written from a Dispensational perspective, it fairly presents all major views on the New Testament Text. It is like having the lecture notes for a dozen New Testament courses printed out.

This had been very helpful to me. Our church offers discipleship courses. I was having trouble understanding what the Bible was trying to say when I was reading different passages. I have found that this has helped me to understand what the passage is saying. I highly recommend this.

This book was lent to me by a friend and I noticed that David Jeremiah gives it high praise. But when I was trying to figure out how to talk to a friend who is a Jehovah's Witness about their belief that Jesus IS NOT in fact God I went looking for a scripture and thought John 10:30 would be perfect. But then I opened this book for clarification and it says this scripture DOES NOT say this.
I searched other places including sites online and everyone else seems to believe He is in fact stating this here which is why the Jews want to stone Him.
I always thought this to be the case but this book says that that is erroneous.
Can anyone help me understand this?

A must for any serious student of the New Testament. Easy to read and understand and provides needed additional information to the reading of your Bible.

This is one of the more thorough commentaries popularally obtainable. Approaches from a conservative fundamental viewpoint. I have an entire shelf of commentaries and generally filter through all of them before committing to a decision. This one compares very favorably in scholarship and presentation. I definitely consider it an asset.

If you want/need a commentary this is the one that is easy to follow and explains scriptures in a way that is easy to understand. This is a must buy for all believers trying to understand scripture.

It is a wonderful book. Help me a lot in understanding Bible. This book's condition is also very good. That is a great deal I got.
