I like the 7 translations version of this much better. Had it for years. It allowed me to look up a single word across the Bible, which if this one does I haven't been able to find it (and I've put in the time to look). It also doesn't have the NIV or the Living Translation, just versions/derivatives of the KJV. I guess I was expecting with 31 translations it would have the NIV (like the older version does). "Thee's and Thou's" and archaic speech patterns are hard to wade through.

I do like that it compares the Gospels and events in Jesus's ministry across the Gospels. That is new and is nice. But I find myself reverting to my paper Bibles to actually read and compare in modern speech.

The old 7 Translations version is still a solid '5' in my book.

I have used this product for years, and many others. This one by far exceeds ease of use and comfort for study as opposed to quickverse, bible explorer, and many others which are good too because of the books that come with them, but as far as best overall i choose this one because of the strongs and referance system. all you have to do is install the strongs numbers and you can just click on the word from within the verse and the meaning of the word in greek or hebrew is shown at the lower right hand of the window, very intuitive to use, and you can easily do a search that appears in the window next to the passage, all very nice to look at. There are no clumsy pop up windows anywhere in this program. I hope they continue making this, and maybe even a more updated version, if mine gets tore up i hope i can still find it. the only thing that would make it better is to include some of the classic christian literature such as foxes, and pilgrims progress, and some select classic sermons.

THIS SOFTWARE ALSO IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH VISTA. AGAIN MANY PROBLEMS WITH AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE, ALSO NO HELP FROM THE SOFTWARE PEOPLE.. IT MAY BE A GREAT PRODUCT, BUT I WILL NEVER KNOW.. AFTER MUCH STRESS I RETURNED TO AMAZON.. CAN'T RECOMMEND. PLEASE WHEN BUYING SOFTWARE BE SURE WHAT YOU GET IS COMPATABLE WITH YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM.. AMAZON YOU NEED TO ALSO MAKE SURE WHAT SELL WORKS..

The best thing about this program is Hebrew and Greek Lexicon. You are able to research the original text that has been translated. The word Sheol was translated 31 times as Hell, 31 times as grave, and 3 times as pit. Also the word Nephesh, this word was translated as Soul(living), Creature(living) and animals(dead). Wow!!! How can you translate the same word(Nephesh) as a Living Soul that cannot die and the beasts of the fields, Living Creatures.
Do frogs and dogs and cats have a Living Soul!!! I wish it had included the NIV and Living Bible Translation. I had previously purchased this program from Walmart for $9.99 years ago. I lost my disk, even though I still had it on my computer. I purchased two from Amazon(one for me and one for my sister). Even with shipping it was cheaper than what I originally paid.

I have actually used this software for years and I love it! My husband has bought several copies and has told others about it whom in return have bought a copy also. I find this software so simple to use (user friendly). I use it anytime that I am listening to sermons on my computer, when I am studying and need to use the concordance,witnessing to the lost online,when I forget the location of a passage but know the passage itself,etc. We have tried many Bible software programs and it's hard to believe that this once sat on the shelves of Walmart,Target & Best Buy for $10. How could it be so great when it's only $10? That was my concern when we first purchased it but by far it has exceeded my expectations for years. In fact we went to Target,Walmart & Best Buy recently to purchase a copy for my sister and could not find it any longer on their shelves. I went online today and found it on amazon thankfully. My sister is a new Christian and I know she'll find this amazingly helpful in her studies. Try it! You won't be disappointed!
Oh and I received a much better deal through amazon even with the shipping.
