Decent,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Bible In The Park (Law, Politics, and Society) (Hardcover)
I bought this shortly after it came out and was just looking at it. Since no one else reviewed it, I will offer a few quick words. It is a fairly interesting discussion of a specialized subject matter -- federal district court rulings on religious expression in public places. The matter continues to be relevant with a few important cases being decided after the book was published, including involving a cross in the middle of the desert that provided Justice Sotomayor a chance to offer a window into her own thinking on the subject. I rank it "decent" and give it three stars because it didn't really take things to the next level for me, and at times was not very interesting. I say this as someone fairly interested in the subject, if not in a professional fashion. I was a bit disappointed with it but still it is a good book & worth a read (though it might be a bit out of date in some ways) particularly for those who want to see how federal district court judges act.
