Revelation is the only book of the Bible that promises a blessing to those who read it ("Blessed are those who hear and those who read the words of the prophecy and heed the this that are written in it; for the time is near" Rev. 1:3). We have indeed been blessed. The book is an intro (Chapters 1-7) to the more complicated part of Revelation, so it is not scary (a concern of my husband). We work on the study together (my kids are ages 7 and 8), but it allows the kids to figure out what the Bible is saying on their own. I think it is important to talk to the kids throughout the study to reinforce what they are discovering, but it really leads them to discovering what God is saying without providing a lot of its own interpretation. The book also touches on educational topics like pronouns, the 5 Ws and 1 H (what, who, when, where, why, how), and reading comprehension. Its a great boo -- you can't go wrong with Kay Arthur. We will definitely be doing the next book (Revelation chapter 8-22) after we finish this one.

Purchased to study Revelation with my son (8) who is so excited about God's promises for His people. He is enjoying the study and memorizing the key verses. He can't wait to share what he learns in each lesson with family and friends.

I have read many of Kay Arthur's books; they are wonderful and very inspirational. I purchased the children's books to read them in hopes they would learn the bible. The books are by far the best investment I have made. My kids love to do the studies; the studies make them think and best of all,her books are good for all ages. I even learn from the kids books.
