Wonderfull Breaktrough,
By Karim (Germany) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Bible, The Quran and Science. (English and French Edition) (Paperback)
Wonderfull! This Book was truly a Breakthrough, shattering all prejiduce and myth, including the false Idea that science and Religion could never go hand in hand. Not only did he proove that it wasnt so, but he even showed us that the most misunderstood Book in the west was a Miracle of scientific compactibility. This Book is ofcourse the Kuran. If Maurice Book would have been written about the Bible it would have cause a sensation not seen for hundreth of years, but since it vouched for Islam a stark silence sorrounded this Monumental work. This Book is free of the often over-sentimental attitudes that born Muslim (without relizing it) display in their works. It is a hundreth percent logical and scientific presentation, whose only aim is to proove the validity of these scriptures. The objections that have been brought up against it are few and only from hardlined Christians( which is understandable) who watched their Bible being reduced to Historic rubble under the eyes of Science. But their complaints are more of a whining then an arguement, and they should be gratefully overlooked. The truth knows only itself and should not care about whats below it. In others words its perfect, like this Book. May Allah Bless this wonderfull and Honest Man for prooving to the world that the pseudoscientific Disguise of Western secular "Modernity" is only a disguise to hide the obvious.Secular "Modernity" is in itself not the end and ceartanly not the truth, but only an Idea, and above that one which has caused much Harm to the world.

Never Read a Better Work of this Value, Never!,
By Mark Sonnarr (Dearborn Heights, MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Bible, The Quran and Science. (English and French Edition) (Paperback)
I was skeptical at first. I read many reviewers' critique of this book and I hesitated a bit. Then I bought it. I was really amazed with the easy analytical work comparing the compatibility of the Bible, the Torah, the Gospels and the Quran with established modern laws of science. The author analyzed and compared the holly books in a neutral way (he is a Catholic). Within 10 days, I already read it twice and bought three more copies to my friends as gifts. When you read this book, read it with open mind, with no prejudice against any religion. It will give you a strong sense of understanding the glory of God... Mark

Analytical and objective comparative scientific study,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Bible, The Quran and Science. (English and French Edition) (Paperback)
A breakthough scientifically analysed study of the religious texts with supporting data. That an illiterate Muhammad would have the kind of knowledge in 600AD that has scientifically been proven only in the last century indicates beyond a reasonable doubt that the information he had was inspired from one above us mere mortals. That it has been written by a non-Muslim dispels doubts of self-interest. As I understand, he died a non-Muslim even though he had proven the contradictions of the Bible and the consistencies of the Quraan. That is what I call courage and confidence of stating the reality without being personally affected.Reading the reviews, I see that there is a rebuttal by Campbell which I intend to read for myself. I would recommend this book for Muslims and non-Muslims alike who like to explore, learn, and then do an introspection of their beliefs without fear or prejudice.

Best book for the pro Quran-Science argument on the market,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Bible, The Quran and Science. (English and French Edition) (Paperback)
A interesting book, certianily an origional defense of the Quran. The author has the tendancy to gloss over major points, for instance with problems in the bible just a sentence claiming they are there without no real explaination, but the points that he does go into detail are extremely good and informative. People should also be aware that this work has been refuted by Dr William Campbell in his book " the Quran and the Bible in the light of history and science" Dr Bucaille still has lots of valid points to be made and reading this book and the one mentioned above should provide a way for the reader to establish a good overview of the facts. I recommend for anyone interested in the claim that Science and the Quran are compatible- it still is the best book on the market for it.

An Excellent Book for Open Minded People,
By Sincere Reader "Moe" (Middle East) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Bible, The Quran and Science. (English and French Edition) (Paperback)
I read the book and I am looking forward to reading it More times. The author should have been more cautious to Christians feelings. Dr. Maurice who I understand was a christian, could have been less agressive. The Excellent example of the fresh & sea water being not mixed and the proof by Satellite pictures is an excellent example for people to realize that Islam is a devine religion. However, It should not have been as a comparison thus repulsing some people from being objective in their assesment of the Book.

A superb objective and scientific study of Quran and Bible,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Bible, the Qur'an and Science (Paperback)
The book demonstrates that the Quran is full of statements that have been proved to be scientifically accurate only in the current century. Also, it proves that there is not even a single statement in the Quran that is against established scientific truths. On the other hand, the book proves that the Bible is filled with statements that are totally against established scientific truths.

At first I thought this might be an interesting comparision, but than I saw the arabist origins and wondered how such a "study" could be unbiased. I was right. Ridiculing the "science" in the Old Testament? Why? It was not written with science in mind, nor was it ever intended to be taught of nor thought of as science. This is also true for the New Testament. The Old Testament is stories, parables and songs knitted together from an originally oral tradition Of course there are contradictions. Contradictions within, e.g., Genesis? Different authors, different periods. The New Testament is also a product of people writing over a period of years. It was changed and modified for 500 or so years to tie together stories, parables and quotes and church edict before it resembled the book we read. This is not "science."
There are people in all three religions that believe each is God-given. However Jews and Christians do not consider the Bible scientific. Jewish scholarship and criticism is ignored in the book, even though there are a recent 2000 years of history, thought and interpretation from which to draw. I'm sorry, but thiis is a typical Muslim concept. Analyzing the thrust of this book, it is clear that the Bible as we know it in the west is actually trash (the underlying thoughts and direction). Look at the book's totality. It is wonderful in putting forth a Moslem viewpoint while trashing the Bible hidden in a glomph of "science." However, Moslems state the Qur'an was given by God to Mohammed through an angel. Why? Because the Qur'an says so. This is scientific? Such a sura destroys the whole rationale for this particular book. The Qur'an is just another belief system created by man. In that it is no different from the Bible. If you understand science, you want evidence and there is none for the Qur'an's origin. Belief is fine; science in this context, not. I'll stop there.I
