Hi, I love this book. It is so fun. There are so many activites and coloring pages. The kids learn a lot more when they are able to do an actvity while also listening to the bible story. We bought it to learn bible stories at home. I really do recomend it for home, Sunday School, Homeschool co-op, whatever. It will love it.

I am the head teacher for the prek/kinder class at church (I also have a degree in Early Childhood Education). I often pull activities from this book and the next level (7-8 yrs?) to correlate with our lessons. The activities are easy for little hands to do, the children (and parents) love them. They use materials that are usually already in the craft closet.

The coloring pages have big space and not overbearing on details so they are easier for little fingers, just developing fine motor skills to color successfully.

Of course, there is always the child who has never used scissors who needs help. But that's an experience issue, and these activities help provide those experiences. For the child who has never cut before, I use a red marker to outline the cutting lines so they can see it more easily. I usually only have to do so 4 or 5 times before they get the hang of it.

This book contains lots of great stories with easy to prepare, reproducible activities. It does both the new and old testament and contains sometimes difficult to find stories such as ones on Jehoshaphat and multiple crafts for Elijah, Daniel, and the apostles. The little ones that I teach love them and the end result is very nice. I highly recommend this book!
