NBD & NCV together,

This review is from: Biblia bilingue NBD (Spanish Edition) (Hardcover)
I am working on learning Spanish, so it is slow going on the Spanish. The 2 languages do not line up verse for verse well - sometimes not even the paragraphs are the same. However, the NBD is not an actual translation of the NCV, which is part of the reason which can't be helped. This is 2 versions, modern, side by side in 2 different languages. Comparison is more for general idea of what is being said in each language. And in any translation there are many ways to interpret words and sentences and meanings, so from language to language even if it were the same exact translations together it could still sound somewhat different at times. (like a thesaurus were different words or meanings can be chosen that stay within the same category of words) If you like the NCV or the NBD and you like modern translations, these 2 together may be of interest to you. The print is somewhat small but not really bad. And the spacing is good. The ink is medium with minimal bleed through; pages fairly good especially compared to so many Bibles today. For me personally it was definitely worth the buy. |
