About the Author

Shirley Barr Sage built a collection of 317 coins, researched, lectured and wrote about the coins. Her interest in biblical coins began in the 1960s after reading Florence Aiken Banks' Coins of the bible Days. Already a coin collector, it was then that Sage decided to concentrate on coins and artifacts from the Bible era. This is a culmination of more than 30 years of collection and research. The book presents a history of the Judeo-Christian heritage as it relates to the coins of the Bible era and includes color photographs of Sage's collection of Biblical coins and artifacts.
