Great for preachers,
By
This review is from: Biblical Sermons: How Twelve Preachers Apply the Principles of Biblical Preaching (Paperback)
This book contains 12 sermons by biblical expositors and 12 interviews of these same expositors. The sermons were fantastic, but the interview questions about sermon preparation were a bit redundant, as many evangelical expositors have similar sermon preparatory methods. I thought the interview with Don Sunukjian was very interesting because I had him for a preaching class, and I know for a fact that he prepares sermons a bit differently now than the way he prepared them according to this interview. In the book, he said that he leaves the reading of biblical commentaries until later in the process. Now, he reads them much earlier.
It's definitely a five star book, even with the redundancy.

A Helpful Preachers' Tool,

This review is from: Biblical Sermons: How Twelve Preachers Apply the Principles of Biblical Preaching (Paperback)
This takes a clinical and practical approach to assessing and evaluating sermons, and for preachers this is a great tool for developing their own skills.
