The bibliography is arranged primarily by language, with emphasis on literatures in English and French. Some works in Portuguese, Arabic, and various major African languages are also included. Works are divided by region and country. A general overview lists bibliographies, anthologies, and critical works about African literature. With author, gender, and country indexes.
