The Bibliography of the Indians of San Diego County is intended to provide information on the American Indian groups indigenous to the area that is now San Diego County. Sources of manuscripts and unpublished materials available in special collections of libraries and archives are also included, as well as some materials on the languages and linguistics of the San Diego tribes. Key research articles are reprinted, as well as maps and illustrations. This unique guide fills the void in the research literature for the tribes covered.

About the Author

Phillip M. White (M.L.S., University of Texas at Austin) is a reference librarian and bibliographer for American Indian Studies. He has also served as Adjunct Professor in the American Indian Studies Department of San Diego State University since 1990. Stephen D. Fitt is a reference librarian at the James R. Dickinson Library at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
