...so 4 or 5 years ago I bought 2 packs of 10 of these and finally used them, went shopping for more, nowhere to be found locally, went online and surprisingly found a review site where 20-some folks had chimed in that these were the best disposable razor available, bar none, period.

What a treat to have one tastes confirmed and validated.

In a goofy shaving world of double, triple, and quattro Mad Ave disposables the Bic Metal rules.

The single blade, strong and sharp, doesn't clog with whiskers and easily handles 3 and 4 day growth better than any double blade I've used. The handle and head angle are simply correct, not curvy.

I'll shave with these till I don't shave anymore. In a zen way, this simple, effective, well designed product is enriching.

I have struggled to find these, my favorite razors ever, in stores in the last few years. I shave my neck, but keep a trimmed beard. No one ever seems to write about this, but you can't make a sharp line at the edge of your beard with a multi-bladed razor. Or at least I can't. The BIC Sensitive has been a fallback for me, but I consistently get a certain proportion of Sensitives that are badly made, and need to be thrown away after one swipe. I hadn't thought to search online (not sure why), and I'm relieved that there is so much blogging and reviewing of these wonderful razors. BIC, if you read this, don't ever discontinue making these!

This is the best disposable razor that I have ever used. It will last for about a month wheras other disposables last about a week or less. I will buy this product again, however, many local store do not carry this item.

These are the best razors ever..And impossible to find in stores these days...I used to get them at Wal-Mart..Then they went away....I easily get a week out of one razor....I buy twelve packs at a time...Will last me a year easily...

I think I have tried a majority of the disposable razors available in my area. The Bic Metal is great for "specialty" shaving. If I haven't shaved in 3 days, this is what I use. If I needed to shave my legs, this would be my pick. Due to the design, rinsing isn't necessary until the end. The wide gap between the metal bar and the blade allows for the hair and shaving cream to flow through. Difficult to find.

Just got my shipment today, 120 razors. Glad I found them online because I've been making due with twin blade razors for over a year now since Bic Metal went missing in the stores. If you are someone who doesn't shave every day and lets the stubble get a bit long before a shave, this is the way to go for sure. No clogs or bits of stubble hairs jabbing you in the face. Now that I know where to get them again, I hope Bic doesn't stop making them. The box says they are made in Greece, so we're helping out those poor bastards too.

Ok i was instructed to use these razors after having an ingrown hair problem. First this a single blade that is Samurai Sharp. Please prep your face with good quality lather(shaving soap) and maybe a pre-shave. The single blade is sharp however the metal bar protects from cutting to close. Apply mild pressure as stated this blade is really sharp. I havent had any cuts with this except once a real minor one on my upper lip i was trying to get to perfect. It was a very minor pin head size cut not barely worth mentioning. If you shave with the grain this will leave what i call a 2 o'clock shadow. It wont shave super close which is good for people who have ingrown hair. If you dont suffer from this you probably can do one swipe against the grain for a more closer shave. Also the blade remains sharp even after 2 or 3 shaves. Although i toss it after 2 uses to prevent any possibility of ingrown. This will tackle 3 day growth with no problem. You can find these in some Wal-Gr***s if you want try a pack at 3 bucks for a five pack its worth to try an see if this is the Razor for you.

This is the best razor I have ever used. The bar keeps me from getting cuts, the single blade does not clog (like 2 - 3 - 4 blade razors. One razor lasts me for about 3 weeks, and I don't use shaving cream, just hot water (usually shave right after the AM shower). I don't know why you can't get them anywhere but online - I think they are sold in Europe maybe. Bring them back, BIC, bring them back to the USA!

Can't find them in most stores. They give a close and smooth shave and last much longer than most disposables. I got three weeks of daily shaving out of one razor and it was still giving a close shave.

I've been using the BIC metal razor since the early 90's. I use it for my face and head. Extremly clean and functional. Almost impossible to find on the store shelves.
