we really like the fact that it is lit, so if he is on a plane or somewhere dark he can contiue to play w/o turning the lights on. at first he was a little confused on how to play because he was still trying to unlearn the steps from the old machine. but by the second day he was playing with this game exclusively.
his only complaint was that the last row of cards on the right is sometimes hard to see. it is faded more than the other cards. like what the other reviewer said, the light is dim.
otherwise great little toy for a solitare enthusiaist.
I wouldn't recommend this particular brand to anyone because of that feature.

actually it is defective - have replaced batteries at least five times. I have an old one that I accidentally left at my daughter's and it still works greatPublished 11 months ago by Jacqueline R. Davis
Quite disappointed. You cannot view the screen by holding it in front of you, straight-on. You have to find an angle by tilting the game all over 'til you can see it. Read morePublished 12 months ago by merry moore
Not as I had expected. you have to use a stylus to use rather than buttons as my previous one had. Difficult to use as is. Would not recommend.Published 12 months ago by JPAT
