This review is from: 25 Bicycle Tours in and Around Washington D.C.: From the Capitol Steps to Country Roads (Paperback)
After riding on the same trails (such as Rock Creek and WO&D), it was nice to find this book and discover some new biking routes in the greater Washington D.C. area. The book does a nice job of mixing it up - some rides cover bike trails while others cover light traveled roads in rural settings. The one thing that I really liked about this book was how specific it was. For example, on one trip the author tells you exactly where to cross the rail road tracks to get towards RFK Stadium and back to the bike trail after going along the river. On another trip, she points out the worn dirt path that takes you back to the bike path after crossing MacArthur Blvd and coming to the end of small street. So you really can't get it wrong when you follow this book + you can create your own rides from some of the ideas in this book. If you love to bike around D.C., I would highly recommend this book.
