Bidet BB-50: Hand-held bidet with room temperature water and adjustable pressure

I went over quite a few products when I wanted to buy a hand-held bidet. This one seemed the most complete and cheaper than the rest. The absence of reviews did concern me, but thought of taking a chance.

The shipping etc was prompt. I was a little upset to see many parts of the bidet made out of plastic (coated with the stainless steel paint). But the crucial parts ( i think the valve, the bidet itself) were made of steel and were solid. The connecting pipe, the trigger thingie on the bidet head etc were plastic.

Before you start installing, please please make sure you drain ALL the water in your toilet's water tank. Flushing it completely won't work - there is more water below the flush level and you don't want your bathroom to be flooded with that residual water when you remove the base of the water tank.

The instructions were quite clear in the packaging. Don't forget to put in the rubber washer, which is in the parts pouch along with the wall-mount and screws. It installed relatively easily and hasn't leaked at all.

The water pressure is well controlled and of course, no heated water. But overall it is a very good purchase.

After a recent trip to Southeast Asia, I grew accustomed to using a hand-held bidet (sometimes known as a "bum gun" or "gun hose"). For the longest time I didn't want to try it out because I've only ever used toilet paper, but once you start using it you won't want to go back. It feels so much cleaner than using toilet paper alone and it probably does a better job too. It should also result in less irritation.

The product took only about 5 minutes to install and the included instructions pretty much have you covered. I wasn't sure whether the attachment would fit the valve in my bathroom, but it was the right size. First thing you'll want to do is turn off the water supply shutoff valve that's sticking out of the wall near your toilet. Flush the toilet and remove any leftover water from the tank using a small cup and a bucket. Note that the tank is above and behind the toilet bowl and is not the toilet bowl itself. Next, remove the toilet's water supply hose from the shutoff valve, catching any extra water leftover in the hose with a bucket or a towel, if necessary. This would be a good time to apply threading tape to all the currently exposed threaded parts that will be used. Next, connect the metal T-connector to the valve and then connect the toilet's water supply line to the T-connector. The packaging included a new toilet water supply hose so you could opt to use that instead if you want. Next, make sure the two washers are in place on both sides of the hose used for the hand-held bidet and connect that hose to the T-connector. Connect the gun itself to that hose and you're all set. You could also install the hose support to a nearby wall if you want, but I haven't got around to that yet. That should be pretty straightforward as well.

As for the product itself, it seems to be well-made. All parts feel sturdy and after about 2 weeks of use everything seems to be working fine. You can change the pressure on the gun itself from completely closed to fairly strong, which is nice. The gun is made of metal and is somewhat heavy, though not too heavy. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. Would be nice if it was a little cheaper, but can't complain too much about that.

This is a excellent product, Absolutely no leaks, check the installation procedures in you tube. easy to install and comfortable. I had a problem with this host of the product after week usage, but the seller was so good to send new product super better hose. and it is working great.

I've tried a number of Bidet solutions, all the way from buying all the parts individually from The Home Depot and putting them together to buying other Bidet packages like this one. I must say that this is the most hassle free way of having a bidet in your toilet. The stand that is included in this package that holds the Bidet when it is not being use is a very useful add-on.
The shower, hoses and the adapters fit perfectly with absolutely no leaks. The pressure of water from the shower is very good. The adjustable pressure control is a useful feature.

The only problem that I had with this product was that the pipe in my toilet that hooks up to the hose from the flush tank is a 1/2" pipe. However the adapter that is provided in the package requires a 3/8" pipe. The package comes with a 3/8" hose to connect the adapter to the flush tank, but I needed a 1/2" female to 3/8" male adapter to ensure that I could use the adapter on my pipe. I think I paid something like $5 for that at The Home Depot. But I guess I had this problem since I live in a fairly old apartment... Perhaps the standard pipes these days are 3/8".

But otherwise, I can't recommend this product enough. The feeling of washing it off ... well, you need to use it to understand it :)

when i recieved the bidet, i was upset at first because the handle was slightly broken. after realizing that it was not their fault and the fact that they were nice enough to send me a new one right away. Very easy to install and I use it everyday.

I'm from a country where bidets are part of our bathrooms in every house. So I decide to try this one, and so far I'm very happy with it.
I instaled by myself, and only toke me 15 minutes. By the way, I'm a woman!!!!!
It comes with all the parts you would need to instal it and the instructions are very easy to follow.

Was shipped and delivered faster than i expected.

The product was as expected and works great. Good quality.

One of the shower-heads was faulty so i called them the next day and they immediately sent me a replacement (i had it in 3 days). Great customer support.

Suggestion: It would be nice if the bidet holder came with screws that didn't require pre-drilling holes. I ended up super-gluing it because i didn't have a drill machine and I'm lazy :)

I had another type of bidet installed (with plastic tubing) in the master bath and it works just fine. This one was more expensive and had problems from the beginning: 1) it leaked if installed as shown in the brochure. I had to use a lot of Teflon tape to stop the leak. 2) After a while the tap button became too stiff and hard to use, especially for kids. 3) and finally, we came home last night and the hose had burst and there was water gushing out on the bathroom floor.

Anyways, maybe it was just me with a bad experience, but I recommend you be more careful before buying this product.

This is a quality product that is easy to install and the pressure regulator/shut off lever on the handle is a great idea - it keeps it from leaking like some other spray nozzles have a habit of doing and allows you to regulate the water pressure from gentle to high enough to help you clean the toilet.

Instead of using T-connector sent with the package use one from ACE or Home Depot.
T-connector wasn't made one piece or welded together. It's very flimsy and can easily break or leak with any slight overtightning or defect and lead to major flooding. The design of connector hose is not as good as one sold in Home Depot. I like the handle of bidet. The company customer service is good, fast reply and they sent replacement part
