4.0 out of 5 stars Tea Lights for Tea Lovers
I do drink tea, and I keep my teapot on a side table over a tea warmer. I have had other brands of candles, but they don't seem to keep my tea HOT. They keep the tea warm. These candles do indeed keep my tea nice and hot, which is lovely on a cold day.
I went through the entire bag, and put them into a box. Out of 100 candles, only one was flawed. That's pretty...

Don't do it. You can get a bag of 100 at any Linen n Things store for $4.99. This price is a rip-off of the worst kind.

Give these candles a try and see if you don't get hotter tea, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality Tealights, Would Buy Again, May 5, 2010

While not the very best I've ever used (sadly, that store went out of business), these are quality tealights, and I would buy them again although I do wish they burned just a tad hotter, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. You will get a clean, long-lasting, moderately hot burn that that should please most. I burn candle tarts, and the quality of tealights in the stores has gone way downhill over the years. Some I've purchased won't even melt candle wax, let alone burn hot enough to throw a scent. I've returned or thrown away far too many tealights, which makes it worth paying more for something that actually does the job. I can only assume the stores/shops are having their candles made somewhere other than they did before, so I've learned that it does make a difference where the tealights are manufactured.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Tealights I've Used, March 26, 2010

This review is from: Biedermann & Sons 100 Tealight Candles In Metal Cups, 100% Parrafin Wax (Health and Beauty)
I loved the long burning Biedermann & Sons pillar, so when I was not satisfied with the cheap Chinese flaky non-wax tealights I looked to see if Biedermanns sold them. I was not disappointed! These are very long burning, very bright candles. I haven't tried them as warmers, but obviously their nice flame would be quite hot. The person who said they quickly burn down to the wax and then almost seem to go out on you - well, it's rather unbelievable. In my experience, they do quickly burn down to the wax, almost seem to want to burn out on you, and then flame up bright - every time! I also don't know why the person thought they were a good deal with the price and quality, because first of all, they didn't know the quality before purchase, and second of all these candles cost a lot more than others. For me, I HOPED they'd be great quality, based on their other candles, and knew the price was high.

Another person graded these candles down because of a price mis-statement for them. I've seen that, too. When I first bought the pillars, I just got one, because I thought the price was $75!! Of course, I was only charged the $10 and wished I'd bought 7.

If this sounds like an ad by a Biedermann troll, it's not; it's just that i am responding to comments that sound like they are trolls for other companies.

5.0 out of 5 stars received just as described, December 27, 2009

This bag of tealight candles came to me in good condition. All of the candles have wicks. Yes, some of the metal holders are not perfectly round but are easily shaped - and really don't effect the use of the candle. I have not timed exactly how long each candle burns - but so far they have worked well for my purposes....I have used them for heating fragrant oils as well as just casual burning in tealight sized candle holders! I thought the price was reasonable and I would recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get Some Ambience!, January 23, 2012

I like to burn candles. It's just a nice, soothing room accent, and I like to burn them every day. I like scented candles, too, but for everyday use, I like unscented tealights.

I put together a nice candle display with some disparate items I found at Tarzhay. I didn't like any of their pre-made displays, so I bought a tray and votives and in different sizes. I was going to buy tealights while I was there, but their price wasn't any better than Amazon's. So I bought these. I liked them so much, the second time I ordered I subscribed to the item.

They burn clean and even. The quality is good. Some of the metal cups have little dings, but so would you if you were getting tossed around in a bag. That's not noticeable once you put them in a votive, and surely you are? Failure to do so could cause a fire.

Anyway, I've looked around where I live and I find the price on Amazon as good as, or better, than the prices at any local stores.

It's good to keep these in case of a power outage. And it's nice to light one (or three) before prayers. Absolutely love them.

Some reviews said these only lasted 2 hours. I got these for an event. I burned one to see how long they last. It burned 4 1/2 hours almost to the minute.

5.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for -- these are superior candles, March 13, 2011
This review is from: Biedermann & Sons 100 Tealight Candles In Metal Cups, 100% Parrafin Wax (Health and Beauty)
It is true you can pick up tealights candles for much cheaper, but these candles do burn higher, brighter and hotter than cheaper ones. I light and relight mine and that doesn't pose problems, either. I'm happy to spend the extra money for this superior product.

I thought I was getting a good deal with the price and quantity. Wrong! When you light the wick, it burns pretty fast down to the wax and then from that point on the flame is small and almost seems to want to go out on you. I use them for aromatherapy and in that venue, they are no good. I'll never buy these again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Overpriced...Follow Link And Save, January 10, 2010
This review is from: Biedermann & Sons 100 Tealight Candles In Metal Cups, 100% Parrafin Wax (Health and Beauty)
I recently saw these very same Biedermann brand tea lights at one of those "unique" gifts shops here locally. They were just about the same price there as they are here. If you are someone that is at all familiar with tea lights, then you will know at first glance that the price being asked for them here is simply outrageous. I picked up and examined the Biedermann's at the gift shop and found them to be exactly the same size and design as any other tea light I have ever seen. Which really isn't saying all that much creatively speaking. It's hard to imagine much of anything that is simpler in manufacturing than tea lights in bulk. They are all nothing but a cheap flexible metal cup a little over and inch in diameter that is filled with paraffin and has a small wick stuck in the middle. They are just about as elementary by design that one can imagine. I have purchased tea lights all over the place, including here on Amazon, and have never ran into any that I would consider truly substandard, regardless of the price. The burning time of 3 hours or so seems to be an industry standard as well under any company. Simply put, these name brand Biedermann's are terribly overpriced and should be avoided. I live with someone that uses tea lights all over the house and we use a lot of them here. Believe me when I tell you that your hard earned dollars are very much being wasted on this brand.

Tea lights are easily available in a lot of discount stores locally for most folks. However if you happen to live in a locale that doesn't stock tea lights regularly, or just happen to be someone that enjoys the comfort and convenience of shopping online, may I suggest the 125 pack of generic tea lights also available here on Amazon that I have purchased in the past and consider every bit as long burning, (even 4 hours in some cases) and quality made as the disgracefully overpriced Biedermann's. They are also just about the cheapest tea lights currently available on Amazon. I have enclosed a link to these tea lights at the end of this review. I suggest that if you are in the market for tea lights in bulk that you take the time to check them out and enjoy a romantic evening, as well as save some hard earned cash...Tealight Candles White Unscented Set of 125
