These sketchbooks are really great. The lighter paper makes for more pages. The pages have sufficient "tooth" to grip your media, but aren't as stiff or toothy as the 80 lb paper. The pages are large. Since it is spiral bound, it is easy to flip pages behind, rather than having to tear them out and store them.

My son needed a notebook for his kindergarten class and they recommended this brand. The teachers all said the Bienfang product has proved to last much longer and take alot more abuse from the 5 year olds than others. At first, I wasn't sure why we needed something so 'fancy' but now that I see the quality, I understand. Great product!

I bought this sketchbook for an art class I was taking and fell in love with it instantly. The paper is high-quality and my inking pens don't bleed through. Even though it's a bit pricy, I'd recommend it to anyone who loves to draw - professionally or for fun.
