this seems to be edited badly only half the show i saw them may years ago in sydney & this has been cut to pieces but in saying that i loved what i saw brought back lots of memories only for true fans i felt a little bit ripped off

The other reviewer on here gave this DVD only 2 stars. As a result I almost didn't buy this Big Audio DVD. Being a huge fan of Mick Jones post Clash group: Big Audio Dynamite, I went ahead and took a chance in purchasing it. I must disagree with the other review of only 2 stars. Although the live DVD is indeed strangely edited the sound and vision quality are fabulous! True there aren't many songs on here, but I think Mick only wanted to reveal the highlights from this Sept 1992 show.

In 1992 Mick Jones was at the height of his musical prowess with his band Big Audio Dynamite 2. OK, well maybe they weren't The Clash, but the Clash's legacy would be tough for any band to live up to. Joe Strummer himself found that out the hard way when he gave Mick and Topper the boot. At any rate Mick did his best to fill the void The Clash left behind. This video is one of the only few that exist (to date) of Big Audio Dynamite in the early 90's. This DVD offers proof of Mick's songwriting and performance abilities post-Clash.

I think "Medicine Show" sounds better here live than the LP version. The same holds true for "I Don't Know" "The Bottom Line" and "The Globe". The only song that really didn't sound that great live here is "Other 99". Mick was off-key and the song sounded forced. This is completely forgivable as the rest of the DVD rocks...especially the Prince cover 1999!!

If you are a true Big Audio Dynamite fan I say don't let this DVD get away from you. After all there aren't many professional sounding DVD's of Big Audio floating around (especially when they were in their hay-day). "If I had my time again, I would do it all the same"...Buy this DVD there are no regrets!
