Melissa Lowell, absolutely captured my interest in the Big Audition. I, too, am a skater, and have competed, and auditioned many times. It's not so easy. This book was incredibly suspensful at the end, when you are dying to know who got the lead role of Clara, of the Nutcracker. The judges tell the coaches of SIlver Blades that they have found their Clara right there in Silver Blades, but who will it be? You should be sure to purchase the next book, in the two book miniseries, "The Nutcracker On Ice" to inform you, of the ending, and dislpay the progress of the show, as wel as what happens between Jill and her boygriend Ryan!

The Big Audition was the best book that I have ever read.It kept my heart racing every single page that I read. I could really feel the charecters moods and feelings. Sometimes when Jill would get mad at Amber Armstrong I could so relate to her. Also how Jill felt throughout the whole story. I love the Silver Blades series. I hope that Melissa Lowell will keep writng the series. When I got to the last page when they were going to pick who would be the Clara and they said "And the winner is ....." I got so fusterated it made me really want to read the other book. Silver Blades rocks!

This is a great book.As is the sequel.I especially love Jills reaction to Amber and her fears in general.Personally I think Amber is very sweet.Also Toris reaction to some serious changes that ocour in her life is interesting. A very nice book. READ IT.

This book is great! Just reading it makes Amber drive you crazy! Full of Christmas spirit and funny. A must read!
