5.0 out of 5 stars Big Bad Bunny
My 3 year old twin grandsons adore this book. They ask for it all the time, they've memorized the whole thing and read it back to me. I first got it from the library and read to them over Skype with a webcam. They whined, I wish I had that book! I suggested they go to the library too, so they did. But we will both need to buy it with how much they adore it. Now they...

3.0 out of 5 stars Big Bad Mummy
Ihave to confess that I enjoyed reading this more than the one year old I bought it for. I loved the theatrics and I suspectthat by the time she is 3 she will enjoy it more. But this is not for bedtime reading unless you want to be woken with a nightmare. It's a fun book and worth getting.

Now they love Spooky Old Tree as well. That was my son's favorite when he was little. He wanted it read over and over again. Now the grandkids do too. We did not know about Big Bad Bunny back then. The nephews have introduced this new scary book to their uncle. I am an author/illustrator and I liked the illustrations as well as the story. True, that it would have been nice to have a dada, but still definitely a 5 star in our family. Like this book, I hope to find more "scary" books out there, that are also well written and present great life lessons.

3.0 out of 5 stars Big Bad Bunny not bad, but not stellar either, March 23, 2008
This review is from: Big Bad Bunny (Hardcover)
What child won't appreciate Baby Boo-Boo creating the persona of Big Bad Bunny to get some respect from her family? Just because she's the littlest one in age doesn't mean she's still a baby. Turning into Big Bad Bunny and running away is something she has to do, but then she gets lost and discovers that she may still need help from her Mom after all. It's lovely for a child to be reminded that their Mom will always be there no matter how big she may get, but I wish there had been a Papa Mouse in the story. Would a Papa Mouse not have searched just as hard for his Baby Boo-Boo? I also wish the color palette used wasn't quite so muted. A Spring picture book with a bunny in it needs to be a bit brighter. The book does make for a fun read-aloud, though. With verbs like roar, stomp and chomp, children are sure to want to yell right along with Big Bad Bunny.
