A massively overlooked view of things to come,

I first read this book when I was about 10. In 1979, nobody had ever heard of Virtual Reality. Unless they'd read this book, that is. William Gibson is popularly credited with creating the concept of virtual reality in 1980s Neuromancer, but Sheapard Mead beat him to it by almost 40 years. I won't give anything away, except that this book is about marketing in the far future of the 1990s. Well worth the read, if for no other reason than the different perspective on the time period.
I still want my flying car; according to Mead, they were to have been old hat by 1992.
