I'm a little disappointed. I purchased this item for my 3-year old granddaughter. The set says for 5 yrs & up, but it's almost too small for her - she barely fits the seat. The quality of the set is cheap, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. It was easy to assemble, but by the end of the day, the cymbal attachment had broken. The drum set pictured in the ad and on the box were blue, and we received red (ad did say random color would be sent). I was okay with that, but my granddaughter was disappointed it wasn't blue. Even so, that was okay. I don't expect this set to last more than a couple of weeks and she is not a rough child. I very much appreciated the one-day delivery.

My son is three and I knew when I put this together it wouldn't last long! BUT I bought it knowing that as well because I just didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a drum set for a 3 year old. The drum at top right broke within 2 days...he was very upset! But I rigged it up to make it stay lol...doesn't look pretty but it's up there! If he really gets into them...which he hasn't so far...then I will spend the money on a better set but for now this is fine. It's smaller than I imagined and the quality is not great but if you want something your 2-3 year old can bang on and to test out before you get the big drum set worth lots more money than this is the set for you lol.

This drum set is OK for a smaller fellow. My grandson is 2 1/2 and loves, loves loves to play the drums. He played from 8 am to 12 pm and the drums were broken. He was unhappy. I contacted the company. I conversed with Spencer by e-mail. He advised me that they were very sorry and didn't have another drum set to replace the one I had, but would send me something to make my grandson smile in place of the drums, for no extra charge. I requested a remote control Truck. My grandson also loves, loves, loves Trucks. I know this will make him whole and happy. The concern and compassion that Spencer of World Tech Toys showed me was wonderful. Even though the drum set wasn't replaceable, he offered the best solution to the problem. Pick something else to make a little boy happy. Spencer gets 5 ***** stars for his role in making it all better. The drum set is cute, if you have a little one, whos not to rough, I would recommend.

My children are older . . . . so there is no room for revenge . . . . which makes this my favorite baby gift for friends and family.

The grandson love this drum set. I thought it would be bigger and stronger, but it is still good for the amount of money I paid for it. Shipping cost was a little high though.

So your toddler has declared an interest in drumming, perhaps even put it tops on their Christmas list or birthday wishes. Visions of years of splitting headaches and chipping ceiling plaster for years to come dance in your head. But joining armies of loving parents before you, you swallow your pride with some Advil and check out Amazon for drum sets. Dollar signs begin to add up and you consider and maybe even rationalize spending triple digits on a nice beginning drum set, perhaps even considering it an investment in your son's or daughter's musical talents. But then you find this item...and a light bulb goes on over your head! It's the perfect item to check off "Got It" on your child's Santa stash at a reasonable price, while also realizing it won't last a month and s/he will lose interest in drumming and switch to a quieter musical instrument!

Make no mistake...this is a TOY (not a musical instrument), and a poorly made one at that. Ours was not broken out of the box as with other reviewers, but the cymbal peg broke clean through within 15 minutes of use. The toms are held on with thin plastic nubs that lasted a couple days. With the design of this toy, I don't see how that couldn't happen...it is as cheaply made as it can possibly be. The bass drum pedal doesn't actually reach the bass drum unless your child really crushes the unsecured pedal, which of course causes the poor kid to either fall out of the tiny seat or bash their head into the oddly protruding cymbal (seriously, why is it a foot above everything else?). Of course, no parent expects safety when their darling little monster is brandishing two thick sticks in their chubby palms, so on carpet with supervision this toy is not really dangerous. Have the minivan warmed up for an ER run if you choose to use it on tile or hardwood floors, though.

Now for the good part, and why my rating is three stars instead of just the one it deserves. After my daughter declared a passion for the drum set (and I died a little inside), we decided to see if it was just a fad and bought this little gem. While she had fun on it and still does walk over and smack the hastily-repaired cymbal at times (usually when we're on the phone, of course), she has generally lost interest in it and now is interested in quieter pitched instruments like the piano. So for $35ish, we didn't break the bank on a better quality drum set that she would outgrow eventually anyway. And the prospect of no drum practicing through high school makes her mother and father smile with joy at the headache-free years to come. Well, headaches from drums, at least!

I ordered this drum for my son for Christmas and I am incredibly disappointed. The entire drum first of all is made of cheap plastic. With the durability of a spork. When I got the tiny box I was confused. Giving the manufacturer the benefit of doubt I decided to assemble the gift as a nice surprise. My heart sank as I pulled this so called drum out of the box. The drum is tiny! And cheaply made. The image used brings a little respect to the drum, unfortunately three picture isn't realistic. The plastic was soo cheap that I was afraid I would break it putting it together. I feel mislead and cheated. And my poor little boy now misses out. I Ann returning this product.,
