My daughter is 5 years old and in kindergarten. She loves this book. The words are simple and easy to read and the repetition and rhyme help keep her attention. Having the stories in a collection makes her feel like she's reading a big kid's book, like her 8 year old brother. Together as a family, we have enjoyed reading this book numerous times.

The stories include the following:
* "It's Not Easy Being a Bunny
* "Go, Dog, Go!"
* "Are You My Mother?"
* "The Best Nest"
* "Put Me in the Zoo"
* "A Fly Went By"

I'd recommend this as a beginning reader book for kindergarten and first grade. Older kids may think they are beyond Dr. Seuss, but my son still enjoyed them last year in second grade and even now, when we read together.

Younger children will appreciate the rhythm and rhymes, the colorful pictures and the silliness.

I do not mind reading and re-reading the stories over and over and over. There is a hypnotic appeal to them that works on adults, too.

I purchase a lot of books for my toddler granddaughter. This was a great buy with 6 stories in one hard covered book. Right now I'm reading it aloud to her. The repetition and rhymes are great for young readers. Warning to buyers...this is not a board book so unless your child has been taught to handle books carefully, I wouldn't give it to a young child unsupervised. I wish these stories were available on cd too.

This is far most the BEST book for kindergarterners. Has a lot of repetition and easy to read words. My 5 year old son has lots of fun reading this book. I recommend this to any beginner. It's a must!!!!!

If you are looking for Seuss, this book is not for you. All the stories are written by other authors and the illustrations are not typical silly Seuss either.

If you are just looking for a collection of good rhyming childrens' stories, you will be very pleased.

Really great to have this collection of Dr. Seuss books in one large book! My granddaughter will definitely be enjoying these for years to come!

Bought this for Christmas along with the Green book for my 3 year old who is a big Dr. Seuss fan and already has the Big Red book. She sat in front of the Christmas tree reading it for 15 minutes before opening any other presents!

This is by far my favorite book to read, at nap time, to my friend's toddler, whom I babysit. I was looking for lengthy stories, to hold her attention. I particularly enjoy reading the rhyming stories, as I think the cadence and flow of the stories makes them far more interesting to both reader and listener.
'A Fly Went By' and 'Put Me in the Zoo' are faves.

My kids love Dr. Seuss and these are beginner books so they are easier for my 1st grader to read on her own. Great value over purchasing each book individually. We bought the Big Blue, Big Green and Big Red at the same time and enjoy all of them.

I bought this book because my son (5) loves Dr Seuss stories. I wanted something not so big for him to be able to handle it and also a variety of stories, so I got this one based on the reviews. I JUST LOVE IT! My son loves it! He reads the stories over and over. This is perfect also for begginer rearders. Even my toddler likes to see the pictures of the bunny story. I recommend this book. Great value for what it is, easy to take on trips and stories are very well selected. A great addiction to a kids library. My son liked this so much the we bought the red and green books too. Lovely!

I bought this book and the "big red" and "big green" books for my son's 2nd birthday, they are a little heavy but im the one holding onto them and reading them to him, i'm used to large books so thats not really a problem, by the time he is old enough to read he will be able to hold them. My son loves these books, especially the Dr. Seuss stories. I recommend them to anyone who has a toddler that loves reading(they arent board books so they can't be thrown around, I used this oppourtunity to continue teaching him how to treat books). The only problem is they need to make more in this series.
