This is a great collection of seven wonderfully illustrated colorful backyardigan adventures. I got this for my three-yr-old daughter who is a huge Backyardigans fan and she could not put this book down when she received it. She was extremely excited pointing at the characters in the book and retelling the stories...especially since the book contains most of her favorites. The illustrations match the scenes from the tv shows exactly. Here are the stories in this book:
1. Race to the Tower of Power
2. Pirate Treasure
3. Secret Agents
4. Mission to Mars
5. Say "Please!"
6. The Secret of Snow
7. The Polka Palace Party

This nice, sturdy book is a great value at less than $9. One word of caution though, you might have to read this book to your child from cover to cover every single day... but that's alright with me!

I bought this book because my son loves Backyardigans. I was glad to see that it was almost exactly like the episodes he's watched on television. Other similar books are VASTLY different from what we see on the screen, so it's weird to read them to him. With this book, he already knows the story and is very excited when he can "predict" what might happen next. We read it every day.

We LOVE this book! I'm a mommy and a licensed family childcare provider and this book is one of the kids' favorites, getting daily use and still looking in awesome condition. The kids enjoy the stories, all of which are short stories about several Backyardigans episodes. The stories are at about grade 1 or 2 level for children to read by themselves, but our 1 to 6-year olds enjoy having us read the stories and understand them all. The pictures are wonderful, too, helping children to draw meaning from the pictures and make up their own words to the stories, based on the pictures. This is an effective book for fostering a love for reading and improving literacy skills. It's a hardcover, very durable, and the pages are thicker than typical paperback children's books (I know as I own more than 1000 of them). The price is INCREDIBLY reasonable for the amount of pages and stories in it, and it's a MUST for your little Backyardigans fans. We own 10 other Backyardigans books, but I wish I had purchased this first since the kids enjoy this all the time and seldom read the others. This is a perfect book for your childcare, school, or home!

My 3 year old son loves this book. He is a big fan of the Backyardigans, and we've read this book from cover to cover many times. The stories are very similar to the videos, just shorter. I've also caught my 6 year old, who is "too big for the Backyardigans" reading it too.

I have bought three of these books. My daughter absolutely loves the Backyardigans and looks at this book everyday. She looked at one so much it was falling apart so I bought another for home and one for her classroom at school. She has autism and this is her go to book and seems to calm her down anytime she gets upset.

My nephew loves the Backyardigans. It was a real hit with him at his birthday party. He held it up for all to see. And then, I was picked to read it to him. Great gift - great experience for him.

My 3 year old loves the show and loves this book. He picks a story out to read every night.

This book is a great value for any parent with a child who loves the Backyardigans, or even for those that aren't familiar with the characters. Almost every night since the book arrived, my three year old has chosen one of his bedtime stories comes from the seven included in this book!
The stories are from episodes of the Backyardigans television show, but the adaptation is done much better than most books that use specific episodes of a TV show as their source material. The illustrations are colorful and uncluttered, and the length of each story is perfect for bedtime. Highly recommended!

This is a great book, full of fun stories. My two year old loves it, and it is great that it is all one book instead of having a bunch of little books!

My daughter recommended this book for my grandson who loves books and the backyardigans. He really likes the stories.
