Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

The 420 pages of this book contain the most beautiful and provocative black and white and color photos ever created of these iconic women, plus nine original interviews, including the first with Tempest Storm and Uschi Digard in over a decade, and the last with Candy Barr before her untimely death in 2005. In a world where silicone is now the norm, these spectacular real women stand as testament that nature knows best.

This is a great book and looks nice on the coffee table. It has high quality glossy pages and makes soft porn look like art. I am proud to be included in this book even though my nude modeling days have been over for 20 years. The book chronicles big busty models from the 40's to the 70's. I am included in the '70s section which is a mistake since I was still in high school until 1980. Noticeably missing from the book are interviews with legends like Annie Sprinkle and Chesty Morgan but it is a lovely celebration of big natural breasts. In those days there was very little silicone so its nice to see breasts in all their normal shapes.

As for the review by robin, I have to say that she/he is naive if he/she thinks that we breast models didnt know we were being exploited by a male dominated business. Of course we knew what the adult business was about but many of us used our god given assets for survival and opportunity. Any true sex positive feminist knows that when a woman controls her own body and her own bodys' image and chooses to share that image with others, that is the ultimate power and control. I was exploited no more than consumers are exploited by Mcdonalds or Microsoft or any other large male dominated corporation. YES I made lots of money and I used that money to make a career in music. Breasts of all sizes are beautiful and all of them should be celebrated but its nice to see them look like the beautiful works of art that they are! Thank you Dian Hanson and Taschen for another great product.

Seriously, a good, good book about my fav subject. This one has got some of the most beautiful shots I've seen. It's a great piece to have around because it's so classy. The only trouble I have is keeping my friends grubby hands off it. Excellent!!!

I bought this after reading the ad in playboy. It is a huge book, and very heavy. There are lots of pics, and the 3d is mind-blowing without a doubt. Some pics absolutely feel like you are in the same room. One kneeling girl with a huge rack appears to be ready for service, and all of the models have heavy hangers. The only things that leave a little to be desired are the fact that all of the pics are black and white. I'm not sure if they have to be to pull off the 3d, but most appear to be 60's stock photos, and/or recreations designed to look like 60's stock photos. Many of the models have repeat pics, and several are "unknown". The other downside is the fact that only a couple of the pics show complete nudity. A couple of bush shots in the lot. If it were full nudity, it would be much better. That said, if you were to take this to a bar, or party, it would be a massive hit with friends, and conversation piece no doubt. I hope they make a more modern version of this same idea.

Bought this as a gift for a friend after my husband saw it advertised in Playboy. Some of the 3-d was iffy, most was pretty cool, and I don't have any issue with the fact that the photos are "vintage." There were some hot babes in there! (Although they're now old enough to be my grandma, ew.) What irked me is the writing for the few of us who actually wanted to get a bit of a history lesson from the few pages of text included in the front. The text alternates between english and german without any rhyme or reason that I can tell. You read a few sentences then it literally switches to german mid-sentence, stays like that a few lines, then back to english. What publisher lets a book go out like that? Granted I understand the pictures are the selling point but the language thing was just so strange.

This book is very well titled. Everything about it is big, including the physical size of the book itself. Its not one you can slip past your wife unnoticed. It's a joy to look at though. Famous names from the past such as Paula Page and Linda West. (Now she is the sort of woman you could happily marry) A cavalcade of great beauties, (and gorgeous women) on every turn of the page that will take your breath away. It puts me in mind of the erotic magazines of many years ago, that were filled with just pictures of beautiful goddesses. It would be wonderful to see those stars as they are now.

The book goes through the decades and all the models are a joy to look at. None of your scrawny cat walk size 0s here, just full figured natural womanhood. Also included are the very well endowed Chesty Morgan and the ultimate of ultimates, Norma Stitz. If you like your women well developed then this is the book for you. I would highly recommend it. Also in a similar vein, if you like erotic stories about mature well proportioned women (and indeed men) then have a look at 100 PERCENT EROTICA by Suzie Van Aartman.

Well, now you know what holiday gift to get the breast man in your life! This weighty tome is stuffed with spectacular photos of some of the greatest all-natural big-breasted models the world has ever seen, plus some amusing interviews with great big-boob stars like June Wilkinson, Candy Samples, and Uschi Digard. There are a few strange omissions here. Though legends like Roberta Pedon and Joyce Mandel get their proper due, missing in action are such equally remarkable models as Arlene Bell, Lane Weldon, and Pam Brown. It is also strange that a book devoted to all-natural models would include an interview with Kitten Natividad, whom the book confirms had silicone enhancement. And then the book ends in the seventies, presumably because more recent photos of more recent subjects would be copyrighted. The fact is, lovers of natural breasts know that we have actually entered a NEW golden age. Current all-natural models like Linsey Dawn McKenzie, Autumn-Jade, Chloe Vevrier, and Nicole Peters of the Score Group -- which has become the new "MGM Studios of the SuperNaturals" -- all equal or surpass the legends in this book. And then there is the stunning Russian shopgirl who goes by the nom de bazoom Merilyn Sekova -- she is probably the greatest slim and stacked model of all time. Unfortunately none of these beauties appear in this book, but one hopes that Dian Hanson will be able to compile a sequel... Otherwise I agree with the other reviewer who wished for an index of models here -- that would be helpful. And you have to love the cover -- the picture here doesn't show you it works. The black lingerie you see resides on a clear plastic sleeve, which you can peel off to reveal the mouthwatering rack beneath in its bare mountainous majesty. Russ Meyer would have been thrilled!
