The Big Book of Cartooning provides Christian art students with good instruction in drawing while showing them that we can, in a natural way, incorporate God into everything we do. The techniques are easy to follow, and the examples are plentiful. Mr. Lockman did an excellent job for his intended audience.

Religious content mars book,

I bought this book expecting a how-to on cartooning. It is that, but the author has chosen to sprinkle Christian religious comments liberally throughout the book, which ruined it for me. For example, he refers to "your God-given talent." That's not nearly the worst, either.If I had wanted a religious tract, I would have purchased one.
