This collection of 128 numbers is distinguished by an unusual slant toward classical music. Victor Herbert's "Toyland," a chorale by Martin Luther, and the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" are among the instrumentals, and a Catalonian carol complements the "Carol of the Bells." The print is larger than that in most collections, and the keys on the whole are easy ("O Holy Night" is in C). There is also an arrangement of "Auld Lang Syne" to take you to New Year's Eve. Most, but not all, of the guitar notation is given with fingering charts. --William R. Braun

I got this book from Amazon. I specially wanted the SATB format of music the songs. But I was very much impressed with the chord signatures given in this book. I am learning a lot with this book. I also wanted many new songs. This has lot of new songs. Overall I am very happy with this book. I am very happy with Amazon in all the past transactions. Specially from a country like India, where we do not have access to such literature, I buy from Amazon. The products gets delievered with good safe packaging and at the earliest possible time.

This book is relatively easy to play. It has a lot of songs. I especially like the religious songs as that is what I use the most. It is in large enough print that makes it easy to read. It is a book that will last you for many years if you take care of it. It is sold at a bargain price.

The layout is excellent, the piano part is a nice 'easy intermediate' level. The guitar chords are easy to read and include the little 'finger chart' along with the letter name of each chord. But the repertoire is heavy on the little-known songs of the season -- such as "O Come Away, Ye Shepherds," "A Virgin Unspotted," "Neighbor What Has You So Excited," "He is Born, the Holy Child" and "O Let Us All Be Glad this day." I bought six copies of this book thinking it would be good for going carolling but I doubt if even half the songs would fall into the 'familiar' category. If you WANT to learn a bunch of Christmas songs that you've never heard before this would be an excellent choice.
