This book WAS just a Big Book of Patterns....I'll probably only want to use one or two of the patterns. Short sweet instructions on the first two pages are great.

Very little to no instruction on actual glass painting with this book. The bulk of it is just patterns. Unfortunately, I only found 3 patterns in the whole book that I would actually use. But then, it really depends on your taste in artwork. I found some of the drawings to just be very poorly done with a kind of "paint-by-numbers" feel to them. The rest were very simple line drawings a la folksy Americana. If you like that kind of art, then you will love this book. Personally, I would rather find patterns that were used in actual stained glass so that I could simulate that. I'm giving this book 3 stars because of the outdated and simplistic artwork. I would have given it fewer stars except it is honest about what it is: simply a book of patterns.
