I have been on the search for a really good idea book, and this fit the bill and so much more. I received it today on my way to class and I could barely put it down. As a budding designer and not knowing much about that whole world, I needed to teach myself what others are doing.

This book looked good when viewed online but on purchasing found it to be filled with alternative and abstract artwork. Being a graphic designer for a newspaper it wasn't really what i was looking for. Different, but not for me.

I have been on the search for a really good idea book, and this fit the bill and so much more. I received it today on my way to class and I could barely put it down. As a budding designer and not knowing much about that whole world, I needed to teach myself what others are doing.

The whole 333 pages are filled front to back with art, ideas, and more importantly, inspiration. You can also see how the designs look in print, which is something that most designers I've worked with aim to do. There is a quick reference to all the images in the back, and an index of all the work too.

It's hardcover too. I instantly took off the paper cover, and the hardcover was designed as well, which is a great touch. It is pretty heavy, so you can fight off other hungry college students with it. The given Amazon images don't do it justice. There are 7 different sections that organize everything.

It's an awesome book for designers to have, or even people who like to look at awesome stuff. It's a great reference that I will keep on hand during my upcoming works.

Sure, these designs will be outdated in a could years, but design IS ever-changing. Adapt or become something else!
