2004 called, they want their data back...,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Big Book of Jobs 2007-2008 (Paperback)
Let me state for the record that I have NOT looked at every single job in this book. However, EVERY job that I have looked up (about 30 or so) has salary data from 2004! I was shocked. The 2007-2008 portion of the title is misleading. I was thinking that I would get more recent info. I bought this book for my 17 year old brother who is trying decide what career path to take. If I had bought the book for myself, I would have returned it. Most would benefit by doing a simple internet search for whatever job they are interested in. At first I gave the book 2 stars but then I decided on 3 - since that book is really big and probably has every job imaginable. But then I went back to 2 because I felt like some of the salary information (in addition to being outdated) was unrealistic.

What a resource!,

For someone choosing their career path, or changing their career path, this book is terrific. All the basic information you would ever need about jobs is in this book and some of it is quite eye opening. For people not looking for a new job path, the book is still informing because it explains what people actually do on their jobs and the pros and cons of that. I've not been able to stop reading - it is just fascinating in a general sense about jobs, and very practically helpful in specific way for individual work path decisions.
