About the Author

Tristan Taormino is an award-winning author, columnist, editor, sex educator, and adult film director. She is the author of several books, including The Secrets of Great G-Spot Orgasms and Female Ejaculation, The Big Book of Sex Toys, The Anal Sex Position Guide, Opening Up: Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships, True Lust: Adventures in Sex, Porn and Perversion, Down and Dirty Sex Secrets, and The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women. She wrote the popular Village Voice syndicated sex column ”Pucker Up,” for more than nine years, and she is a columnist for Hustler’s Taboo. This book is a fantastic resource for someone new to toys or someone that wants to add to their toy collection and isn't sure what they want next. It will pay for itself by helping you avoid purchases that aren't quite what you thought they would be or are wildly over priced. It contains lots of ideas on how to best employ your new toys and get the most out of them.

I'm a big fan of Tristan Taormino's writing; she has a smart, approachable way of tackling the subject of sex that makes her books easy to read, relate to, and learn from - not to mention entertaining! Her Big Book of Sex Toys is no exception - not only does she discuss the amazing array of sex toys available, she makes recommendations based on her own encyclopedic knowledge of the toys (as well as the manufacturers and materials used), and she even gives in depth helpful hints on how to use them! This is far more than just a book about sex toys - it's a guide to understanding the variety of stimulation you can get from them, as well as a "how to" on getting the most enjoyment possible out of them, whether for yourself or with a partner. Add in the amazing price for a full color hardcover coffee-table quality book, and you've got a sure winner.
