Format: Mass Market Paperback
I read this short novel back in the late '50s when it was included in a Reader's Digest Condensed Book.
It's about a nerdy, lonely teen-ager who lives with his widowed mother and whose only possession is a large 1920's Mack AC "Bulldog" truck with which he does odd jobs in the small rural town where he lives. He is looked down upon by the other kids with the exception of one girl, Millicent, who likes him.
