I just purchased this entire set. Great deal! But..
Both my download and the Cloud Player versions of track 25, "Auld Lang Syne" by Bornand Music Box (love all of those tracks), have a dropout at 1:33.
Has anyone found other glitches before I report this?
Edit: Reported to Amazon. I didn't ask for it, but the rep refunded my 99 cents. I'd rather have the track without the dropout, but I don't know that Amazon has a method to re-deliver digital in cases like this, do they?
We're so sorry to hear that you had issues with the track. The dropout occurred on the upload to the site, so in order to make sure that you will able to fully enjoy this Big Box, The Bach Guild will be putting a free download of this track on their website (thebachguild<dot>com), which will be available starting on Friday, November 16 by the end of the business day. We have also supplied Amazon with a replacement track, so future purchases of this Big Box will be clean.
Re: Glitch reported on 11/14/12 by G. Gutierrez - As of midday (EDT) 11/18/12, neither fix nor BIG Christmas Box shown at thebachguild webpage; your Search (and list of recordings) fail to show BIG Christmas Box. What am I missing as to where the free FIX download is located?
Yes, but it's a WAV file. Can we not get an mp3 instead? I doubt everyone has the capability or know-how to convert this WAV file. I just want what I paid for, not additional hoops to jump through. Also, the Cloud version of the file remains uncorrected. I don't wish to be a bear about such a small moment amid hours, but it's not what I paid for.
Thank you for the corrected track 25, "Auld Lang Syne"!
While I greatly enjoyed complete Nutcracker, the final cut - "Nutcracker, ballet, Op. 71: Act 2, No. 15: Final Waltz and Apotheosis" - has 3 dropouts, especially irritating since this is the culmination. Any chance you could provide a corrected track for this too?
Yep. Dropouts at 1:51, 2:22 and 2:31 in track 213 confirmed.
Bach Guild - When posting MP3 files, please encode at 256 or 320 kbps (Amazon seems to use 160 minimum in VBR mode, which averages 210 based on the material). Or post WAV like you did at first. We all have ways to encode MP3 on our own. I'd prefer these replacement tracks not also be a downgrade in quality if at all possible. And thanks for taking care of us. It is appreciated.
Okay. Not buying anymore product from The Bach Guild. They don't seem to fully understand the digital product they are selling, and they've completely disappeared (no answers via their website either). That's too bad.
