More Like a Safety Manual than a Story,

I have a small collection of childrens' books in my medical office for kids and parents. I know what they like because the parents read to the children while I attend to them. Since the Big Joe's Trailer Truck has been a consistent hit with both boys and girls for several years, I decided to try more in the series (trucker, bus driver, police, fireman, etc.) This book reads more like a safety manual than a story book. Often kids or parents stop reading in the middle. No one I know of has ever read this book twice, whereas Big Joe's Trailer Truck gets many repeat visits.
