3.0 out of 5 stars Adults or kids??
On the plus side, this is not a timed game, and hints are moderately limited. But, this game can't decide if it's for kids or adults. The hidden object aspect is WAY to hard for kids and yet the rest of it seems juvenile. Objects are hard to find because the pictures are blurry. Each level requires a mini-game first (there are only 3 different ones), then a seek and find...

This game has left me wanting more...more games like this one, featuring more cities around America and the world.

I have visited San Francisco (the city) several times and had the pleasure of seeing the 'usual tourist spots', but this game showed me just how much I missed. The game actually made me want to revisit the city of San Francisco to see some of these wonderful locations.

As for the art and the playing of the game, it is exceptional. The settings are bright and offer plenty of hidden challenges. Even after playing the game through several times, I have not 'memorized' all the locations of the objects. That is a good indication of how many objects and settings are offered throughout this game.

The short challenges between the object searches are also bright and fun, which gives you a quick distraction from the rest of the game. Constructing puzzles of postcard pictures, matching objects and other light activities are a pleasant diversion from the typical game.

I definitely recommend this game to anyone of any age, especially if you might be planning a vacation or just visiting the city of San Francisco in the future. The game is highly informative and fun.

I bought this game quite awhile ago for my granddaughters. It is the best seek & find game we have -- and we have plenty. The items are well hidden, but we are usually able to find them without using our hints. It is easy to rack up a lot of points by working quickly. Since we live close to San Francisco, the fun facts are interesting. The puzzles are not complicated, and they feature San Francisco landmarks. Other challenges include 'Concentration' type match-ups. There are 60 sites in San Francisco to visit before the game is complete. It is then time to start back around again. The girls have been playing this for a couple of years -- say ages 7 to 9, and it is still a favorite.

I have the 2nd game, Big City Adventure, Australia & highly enjoy this series. There is also Big City Seattle & New York. They are all fun & I enjoy the trivia postcards & the match 3 game. On par with the Amazing Adventures & Mystery PI Series.

The hidden object aspect is WAY to hard for kids and yet the rest of it seems juvenile. Objects are hard to find because the pictures are blurry. Each level requires a mini-game first (there are only 3 different ones), then a seek and find. The mini-game that requires the most skill is a memory game (duh). There are far too many story screens to go through in between levels and the music got on my nerves after a short time. And one of the things that annoyed me the most...you cannot access the main menu in between levels. In a word....boring...and way too long. I guess it would work to let your kids do the mini-games while you do the seek and find. Otherwise, save your money.

I own a lot of the Big City Adventure Title Games and I like them sooooo very much!!! It is not a game that will be over in one or two nights - well worth buying if you like "Hidden Objects" / "Seek & Find" games!!! You will not want to stop at just one Big City Adventure Game!!! Have Big Fun!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars More fun in the beginning than the end, December 25, 2009

I had been enjoying this game but I found it less fun past about level 40 (of 60) and finally gave up at level 50 in the between game--this one was the match-2 game. After an hour (and 5 "there are no more matches of two" failures), I quit. I wanted a hidden object game, not an impossible match-2 game. The first hidden object levels are almost too easy, but still a good way to pass the time. The locations begin to repeat about halfway through, and the items to find also repeat to a small extent, so that you can actually remember where they were last time you had to find them. This game is about twice as long as it should have been, and the later in-between match-2 games should not have been un-winnable after so many attempts. I say don't bother with this one.
