I think this book is fab! i now own both of the first 2 books in the dream hair series and totally love them. this is a book with credibility, like kevyn's makeup books. the dream hair books have tips galore and cute side line storys for the 4 girls in the book. amazing pictures and advice even down to vitamin supplments to help better care for your hair (well, maybe...

I have thick naturally curly hair that is really unmanageable. I picked up this book hoping it might help me achieve something a little more styled for when I feel like taking a break from my medusa-like tendrils. This book didn't help. The instructions were very basic. I've seen more detailed style instructions in issues of Glamour magazine.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, January 7, 2009

I have thick naturally curly hair that is really unmanageable. I picked up this book hoping it might help me achieve something a little more styled for when I feel like taking a break from my medusa-like tendrils. This book didn't help. The instructions were very basic. I've seen more detailed style instructions in issues of Glamour magazine.

The lack of detail was disappointing but what really irritated me was how often the book often took breaks from actual information to fill you in on the lives of four women. It is a fairly small book to begin with so I was extra annoyed to see that half of it was filled with "Sex in the City" girl-friend type stories about getting ready for dates that were so cliché they were borderline insulting. I would have given this book one star, however I'm willing to speculate that the advice may be more affective for women who do not have hair from hell, so I gave it two.
