Product Description

It's solitaire as you love it, but with a twist that has made it one of the most celebrated franchises ever: it's solitaire with power ups with friends with golf!

The goal is to play cards one higher or lower and clear the cards off the board. The twist is that you get to use an array of power ups to help you beat challenges that are designed around hand-crafted card layouts. All played on golf courses that include hazards like crab grass, and sand traps. All together, you've got a unique solitaire puzzle game that earned the franchise IGN's Fan Favorite Mobile App and Mobile Game of the Year nominations in 2013. Devise your strategy then attack the course!

But don't be entirely mislead. This is also a game about friends; not just any friends…your friends! Login to Facebook with your friends so you can help each other. (We won’t share or post anything on your wall, promise! We just want you enjoy the game with the people you know!)

1.0 out of 5 stars CAUTION, MONEY GRAB! April 5, 2014
Verified Purchase
I am an unabashed fan of Fairway Solitaire and have been eagerly awaiting this. I have not been disappointed! This is a little more hyper with bombs and machine gun toting gophers that blast away at cards, jet propelled worms that drag cards off the board and rocket riding gophers that carry cards away. You play various, progressive courses and there are incentives and rewards along the way. Fail to get the necessary points and you must replay that hole. It's great fun and strategy is definitely involved.

The game gets progressively more difficult and you are offered power-ups for purchase with real money from the Amazon app store. It's your choice; I'm on level 38 and as a general policy, refuse to buy add-ons, but they are NOT necessary in order to enjoy this game! There is plenty of play and replay value here. The graphics are great and cute, too. This is a ton of fast and furious solitaire with a serious sense of humor!!!!!

As you can see, I fell for this game, hard. I had the option of buying power-ups, but I didn't think they were necessary in order to progress - WRONG! IT is impossible to progress beyond course 2, Emerald Isle, hole 25, without buying more cards. This game has at least 100 levels and in order to progress, I can see that it would quickly get VERY, VERY expensive. With great regret I deleted it from my KFHD. Hate that Big Fish feels the need to take advantage of its loyal customers. Why not sell this game outright for $4 or $5? I would gladly have paid it! At best it is shady; at worst it is just dishonest.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too expensive April 11, 2014

I loved Fairway Solitaire. This sequel is a totally different game. It is a money grubbing app that is just not worth the cash expenditure needed to get past the first twenty-some levels. I have purchased many Big Fish Games titles, and really enjoyed them. This one was the first I disliked.

2.0 out of 5 stars thinly veiled cash grab very steep learning curve April 7, 2014
Verified Purchase
Jokers and blast cards are waaay to expensive (3.99 for ONE joker card?!?!) And the levels get really tough very quick. They need to take a few lessons from and make the difficulty much more gradual. Also, some levels have gift boxes next to them but you get nothing when you get to those levels. This game could be great but needs alot of work.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a blast April 10, 2014

After a short time playing this game, you reach a point, in perhaps an hour's play, where you cannot win the game without some in-app purchasing. I really, really dislike the system which does not allow you to continue at all without spending money.

This version should let you earn coins to buy wild cards etc instead of making you pay cash for everything I loved the first one why mess with success

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Much Going On-Impossible High Rounds April 7, 2014
Verified Purchase
Be aware that this "free" game offers a huge number of special cards to buy, some of which cost 3-4 bucks each. And if one runs out of cards, you can buy extras. And if one runs out of lives, you can buy lives. Get sucked in and this game can cost you a small fortune! To be sure, there are occasional freebies offered but not many and a lot of those are confusing. Then there are special cards on the field of play which blast up or right or left or just explode all of which results in cards disappearing from the field. I have tried some of the purchase cards with the result that I am now at Level 38, which gives me 30 cards to play and requires getting 5 hearts in a row. I have been stuck for two weeks of daily playing and if I don't progress soon, this game gets deleted.
