Toya loves hard. When she is with a man, her commitment knows no bounds. She will do anything he ask and neglect her own son, however unintentional, for the love of a man. Before she realizes that she must put the well being of her son and herself before that of a man who could care less about her, she almost loses everything.
Tershia, Toya's sister, seems to have the life that everyone would love to have. She often finds comfort in boasting the fruits of her blessings in front of her sister making it clear that she doesn't expect Toya to be able to every come out of her shadow. With delusions of grandeur, her vision is blurred from the reality that's sitting right in front of her face.
Lauren is content with her lavish lifestyle, even if it is that of a gold digger whose sponsors are almost all exclusively married. Her conscious though is clear, after all, the woman who slept with her ex-fiancé could have cared less about their relationship so why should she? The old adage is her motive and it is clear, therefore the theme what goes around comes around will always ring true to her.
Drama dressed in a plus sized package spills out into an elaborate saga where love is the dirty culprit that keeps everyone blind. Will Lauren ever wise up to the error in her ways? Will Toya find a beau who will knock her off her feet and not take her for granted? Will Tershia continue to live the dream? Only time will tell as the reader escapes between these pages. The author continues to step her game up with each novel exploring ways to stretch her creativity. Stepping out of the urban environment she normally pens, Rukyyah continues in the theme of erotica in this highly sensual read while taking a different spin on her norm. There were a few traditional love story tell tales that made certain scenarios predictable however as a whole the book was entertaining and sets the precedence for a continuation.
