This is my all-time favorite game. Why? Because it's addictive, easy to learn and there are many, many user created games at the BKR site which keeps the game fresh.

If you like arcade style match three games then this is a winner. Most levels are quick to beat but there are also plenty of challenging levels.

I do not like competition, this game has relaxed play, allowing anyone with any skill level to play and be entertained.

While I love Big Kahuna Reef, 1 and 2 seem the same. Its basically a match 3 game with extra added challenges; some items are locked until you match those around them, etc., 2 does have added bombs, which weren't in the first. While this is a great game, so is the first, and since that one is on here for free right now I suggest getting that one and saving $. They're too much alike to miss out on skipping the 2nd.

I'm old (I'm on Medicare) & I use games like this to keep the mind sharp. The graphics are amusing, the premise is challenging & it's just plain fun. When I want to calm the mind between screaming at the world news & walking the dog - 15 minutes of Big Kahuna Reef 2 is the venue I choose. And, oh yea, it's entertaining.

Big Kahuna Reef 2 is a surprisingly addictive and challenging game that takes everything you loved about the original Big Kahuna Reef and raises it up about ten notches. Everything is bigger and better in this game - the number of puzzles, the amount of skill (or luck) required in conquering all of the levels, the excitement of forging your way to Big Kahuna status - heck, even the exotic fish you unlock as you advance through the levels are bigger than before. I initially worried that the new "chain reaction" aspect of the game would take away some of the challenge, but I was wrong. Sure, it can be a lot easier to maneuver your way out of a jam with the help of different types of bombs, but the addition of those explosive pieces also allows for new kinds of puzzles you won't find in the first game - and those bombs are of little use to you if you can't maneuver them down to where you really need them.

Big Kahuna Reef 2 is broken up in to three different sections. The Kahuna Quest consists of one hundred puzzles of gradually increasing difficulty - nothing that should really bog you down. Once you solve all of these puzzles, the other two sections of the game are unlocked. The Tiki Challenge consists of 36 different puzzles, the last dozen or so of which can prove somewhat daunting; I'm still trying to finish the last of these, but I'm determined to beat it or die trying. Rounding out the trio of sections is Other Adventures, featuring no less than 600 puzzles created by players of the game from all over the world. If that's not enough, even more levels can be downloaded online. We're talking untold hours of fun and exciting game play here, making Big Kahuna Reef 2 well worth the minimal cost of purchase. I'm just hoping there will be a Big Kahuna Reef 3 out there waiting for me whenever I manage to finish the hundreds of puzzles in this one.

Loads of fun for while, but found out belatedly that it harbors a virus. I had it loaded on 2 computers, the Norton AV wouldn't even let it start up, the PC with Kaspersky loaded fine for a while, but Kaspersky eventually found the virus and after a stern warning, prompted me to delete the software, so now I'm out the 7 bucks. Not much fun. Update: After waiting an extended time (til summer of 2011), I redownloaded the software and had no more problems with the antivirus software preventing me from using the game. Now the only problem is the game can be addictive!

I just love this game I just wish I could play a few game and stop, but I go on for hours. Buy it you'll love it.

this is a good gane if you like match 3 games. my wife and i like this type of game. nice not having to wait for software to come in.

I have played this game for years without getting bored with it. Unfortunately, my original game crashed in a computer foul-up -- so I was happy to find the full game at Amazon at a very reasonable price. There are hundreds of levels, and you can play with or without being timed. If you lose all your lives, the game lets you start at your current level with more lives, a nice feature. Also, you can download even MORE levels online. Highly recommended. I bought a second game for a friend, and she's addicted too. A GREAT put-them-in-order game!

I have had the Big Kahuna Reef (BKR) game for YEARS and I thoroughly enjoy it. I have cleared all the levels that came with the game and I have been to the website that lets you download LOTS of extra levels ([...]). Some of these provide really long game boards (one has 200+ levels for you to clear to finish that particular game configuration). The best part is that these extra levels have all been created by BKR users. I have bought this game for lots of my friends and strongly encouraged them to try all the different configurations once they have completed the two main ones that are part of the core game.
