3.0 out of 5 stars RELAX AND TAKE THIS ALBUM FOR WHAT IT IS, December 21, 2003

Un Just ESO (East Oakland, Yay Area, CA, ALL DAY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Big Money Heavyweight (Audio CD)
Big Tymers are NOT trying to dazzle you with wordplay nor are they considering themselves good rappers.
With that said... Mannie has got back on his J production wise...beats have been lacking on the last couple of CM releases but this one (along with Juvenile's album...Don't ask LOL) are full of nice bouncy, trademark Mannie Fresh production.
People that pick this cd up expecting wordplay and deep insight should be shot. seriously...
This aint nuthin but a feel good album (if i had they kinda money i'd be feelin good too) Baby is gonna brag...Mannie's gonna tell a few jokes...the CMB is gonna make some appearances and thats THAT
BEAUTIFUL ALBUM for your car...for the clubs etc. which is exactly how the Big Tymers want it.
Favorite Tracks...
#8 Back Up f/Gilly & Juve
#9 Southern Boy f/Bun B
#12 Down South f/ Luda & Wayne
#19 Dirty D Boy f/Gilly(who really spit nice here...Gilly will prolly be signed to CMR soon)
STRICTLY FOR YA CAR AND THE CLUBS...O WHEN U JUST FEEL LIKE BIG TYMIN...I'd much rather listen to this then listen to rapper with equal talent TRY to be somethin that they are not

HOLLA EAST OAKLAND IN THIS B!TCH

This is a Super C.D. Big Tymers came back again and doin it better. Mannie and Baby the Super Hip-Hop duo puttin down fresh beats lyrics and Much More. If you see it in the shop pick it up and buy it especially if you like Southern Rap!!! The best on this album are:
This How We Do(Love it)
Gangsta Girl( love it)
We can smoke( sweet beat by Mannie(again) and singing my T.Q., I could listen to this all day )
I'm a Dog
I'll Take You There ( even they did this one in an old Motown style It's Still Fresh!!!!)
Southern Boy (cool)
Against The Wall
Down South (excelent song, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Mannie, Baby and Jazze Pha Puttin it down for tha South)

5.0 out of 5 stars Real Big, June 25, 2005

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Big Money Heavyweight (Audio CD)
Cash Money's dynamic duo, Baby (Birdman) and Mannie Fresh teamed up again for their fifth Big Tymers release and its a winner. As like the majority of Cash Money releases, this 20 track lp was produced by Mannie with his southern bounce, uptempo tracks that are definately slept on. As far as the lyrical content, this isn't something that you should purchase this for. This is more of that plain old, same old bragging rap that the market is flooded with, but this more like feel good music. Birdman stepped up game or lyrical style on "We Can Smoke" featuring TQ with a rapid fire type attack. Big Money Heavyweight starts off from the jump with finess and stride that slowed down only a little to regain its pace for a good finish. Noteworthy of almost sounding as if was taken from the hook of 2pac's "Live And Die In L.A." or "Just Like Daddy", "I'll Take You There" featuring Petey Pablo & Joi. The title track has plenty bang in it as they tag in and out to bless this tune. Then as we take a ride "Down South" featuring Ludacris, Lil' Wayne & Jazze Pha collaborate, this could have been a good single to release as we are taken on the ride in different angles and directions. "Southern Boy" featuring Lil' Wayne & Bun B is a brassy slow groove that captures the South in another light. The title says it all as well as the group name.
