Book Description

October 31, 2008
Ever dream about making 30% in one month?
Big Money, Less Risk: Trade Options will put the income boosting power of strategies like writing covered calls, selling naked put options, and placing vertical spread trades or iron condors in your hands. Mark Larson has become one of the most sought after trading educators because of his ability to make once elusive investment approaches accessible to every trader.
Success in the stock market is determined by consistently making money every month, not closing your eyes and hoping you can afford to retire. With this book, Larson divulges the secrets to making your money work for you instead of having to work for your money.
Inside you'll learn:
- How to repeatedly make money when the market goes up or down.
- Investment strategies that allow for huge returns with the use of very little money.
- How to purchase good stocks at discount prices.
- How to make significant returns even if you are wrong on the trade.
Larson will also cover the importance of option pricing, implied volatility, the Greeks such as delta, theta, and gamma, and the probability of your option expiring profitable. Most important, you will get, in plain English, some of his favorite technical indicators and the key to how they will form the basis of your options trading success.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"A lot of people shy away from trading options because they think it is too risky or complex. That's true if you don't understand them, but armed with the right knowledge and tools, options are a great way to amplify your profits without letting risk get out of hand. My colleague Mark Larson has put together the know-how about options trading so that beginning and advanced traders alike can benefit from his many years of experience as both a trader and an educator."
--Tim Knight, founder of Prophet.net, SlopofHope.com, and author of Chart Your Way to Profits

"Big Money is written in Mark's easy-to-follow format that speaks to investors of every level. Whether you want some of the more sophisticated uses of leverage or just want to simplify your style, Big Money will deliver the guidelines for establishing a low risk routine. I like the book, find the tone easy to follow along with, and believe the strategies will be an asset to every investor's arsenal."
--Mike Coval, author of A Trader on Wall Street and editor of Incometrader.com

"I like Larson's latest work Big Money because it's simple, practical and makes a complex subject easy to digest. All successful traders start with logical, intelligent investor education. Mark seems to have a knack for connecting with self-directed investors who are ready to branch out into more advanced products and strategies. Big Money covers all the bases. It's a fun read for option junkies and reinforces a ton of strategy-based criteria."
--Tom Sosnoff, active trader and founder of thinkorswim.com

About the Author

Mark Larson is a seasoned trader, weekly writer for Incometrader.com, and educator who has been actively trading the markets since 1998. His courses on technical analysis and the use of technical indicators are sought after by many traders. His simple trading skills have helped thousands of investors of all types make money during an up, down, or sideways market.
His best selling DVD courses include The Complete Guide to Technical Indicators, 12 Simple Indicators That Really Work, and his best selling books include Technical Charting for Profits and Trade Stocks Online. With the use of technical indicators, Mark was able to warn investors of the last bear market correction that occurred in 2000, and again warns investors to be careful of the next up and coming correction. One of Mark's coined phrases has always been that the key to success is knowing when to buy and when to sell, which can only be done with the use of technical indicators.
Mark is the founder of Rolling Along Investments and an instructor for Investools. He travels throughout the country teaching others how to become independent investors by using both technical indicators and options. He attributes most of his skills and success to his very successful mentors Mike D. Coval and Stacy G. Acevedo.

1.0 out of 5 stars Reviewer, February 4, 2011
This review is from: Big Money, Less Risk: Trade Options with foreword by Michael Thomsett (Hardcover)

Is it a coincidence that every review that has given this book 5 stars are from users that have never reviewed another book? Suspicious anyone? The author should be ashame of himself. I can't believe there isn't a better system on Amazon to prevent such abuse from authors and associates. If you read the reviews the writing style even resemble each other and always address the author by his first name or full name in the beginning of the review. I'm giving this ONE big fat star!

5.0 out of 5 stars extremely helpful in gaining clarity in options trading, December 3, 2008
This review is from: Big Money, Less Risk: Trade Options with foreword by Michael Thomsett (Hardcover)
I found this book so helpful in my trading because it helped me grasp the concept of volatility in options trading and explained it in such a simplistic manner. I also appreciated the way the author walked you through the trades step by step with pictures so that i could understand his thought processes behind each trade. The best part was how he would give examples of the same trade with a conservative trade approach and an agressive trade approach since i enjoy learning the agressive trading approach right away. There was a ton of valuable information in this book and I especially liked how he explained in detail how to exit the spread trades. sincerely , mary oneil

This review is from: Big Money, Less Risk: Trade Options with foreword by Michael Thomsett (Hardcover)
This book is a must for all investors in the stock market whether you are an option trader or stock buyer for your portfolio. It is written very clear and is very easy to understand. He takes a complicated trade and takes you thru the steps of how and what he is doing. He makes it look so easy. His indicators are explained step by step on how to use them and what they mean. I have had the pleasure of attending several of his workshops on technical indicators and trading and find himto be a very sincere and dedicated teacher of matters relating to trading and the stock market.
