The Only Comprehensive View Of This Area,

What a great book to read! This book is totally informative covering the history of the construction of the Big Oak Flat Road from Stockton, California to Yosemite. It also covers the local history of all the families and events that occured during the building of this road. Exciting events that happened many years ago are shared by the author who interviewed people that witnessed these events. I have never read a book that grasped my attention such as this one. It gave me such a yearning to visit all these historical sites. By the time I finished reading about this area, my family and I had enjoyed visiting several locations described in this book. I highly reccomend this book to anyone interested in Yosemite Valley or it's surrounding area.

History of Hetch Hetchy. One of the most informative.,

I really like this book because it has the history of Hetch Hetchy before the dam. The authors both told the story of Hetch Hetchy and the area surrounding Hetch Hetchy Valley without the politics.
