About the Author

Huston Smith, Ph.D.is recognized as one of the leading authorities on the religions of the world. Since the 1950s, he has held teaching positions on the faculties of MIT, Syracuse University, and most recently, the University of California–Berkeley. Dr. Smith produced one of the first public television documentary films, which led to his classic The World’s Religions (formerly The Religions of Man). His many books include Beyond the Post-Modern Mind, Forgotten Truth, Why Religion Matters, and Cleansing the Doors of Perception.
